FWIW the "best team" doesn't always win the flag. Since 2014, the minor premier hasn't won the flag. I guess it's the team that best plays finals football, or gets on a roll. That's why Richmond are always a real concern.

Stating the obvious, but he drops too many marks, and missed gettable shots for goal. I remember that Hawkins was similar in his first few seasons. A real whipping boy. But he turned it round after a few seasons. I was hopeful that Sam could do the same thing, but it just hasn't happened. Cameron Mooney likened Sam to Hawkins and Nathan Ablett, i.e. has has been doing his job.
