  1. i went to ess v st k last week and i thought the same it was like aaron was playing for essendon, it was quite strange btw, i think weetra is taller (184cm, same as green, TJ, brock and so on) and was mainly used as halfback runner
  2. what is everyones obsession with ryan ferguson??? not up to AFL standard, is only on a list because he is tall!! and miller to the backline? he is our best forward so far this year, creates a contest, hard at it, shows some heart, which others in the team dont let him and dunn work as a tandem for a few weeks, both should be in our 22, so just let them play!! (start miller deeper at the SCG, and he get the link up marks around the 50, not 70m out!!) im not sure rivers will be right this week again, so PJ may have to take another big body down there (maybe PJ and Bizzell can double team Hall) Bruce, Green, Sylvia, Pickett, Davey and Yze all need to roatate between the forwardline and the midfield, they are crucial to winning this week
  3. Lloyd... i was at essendon vs st kilda on the weekend, and Matthew Lloyd is a disgrace did not earn one of his goals, dived everywhere, sooked all the time how he can be described as a champion is beyond me on the other hand, nick reiwoldt is a champion, he faught hard all day, double teamed all the time, and just played football
  4. would be very disppointed if we risk anybody this week, especially interstate give the kids a run, let the guys get over thier injurys properly, or they will be injured or the whole year
  5. we'll still win on queens birthday, so their banner will be a waste of a dole cheque :D but, the crowd on the weekend was pathetic, but there is the core group of melbourneFC supporters, and then there is the bandwagoners if we string a few wins together before QB, im sure they'll all be back on us again...
  6. Bell Carroll Rivers Petterd Holland Bizzell TJ Junior Bate Byron Miller Bruce Sylvia Dunn Davey White Moloney Green PJ Buckley Yze CJ Let Carroll and Bizzell double-team Hall Bell can take O'Keefe Petterd to just run and run off half back Bruce and Green to both play as midfielders, pushing deep into defence, then starting the rebound Davey to just play, let him go where he wants, Pickett to do the same Miller, Dunn and Sylvia all start deep, rotating their leads we only need one spare ruckman this week
  7. brad miller has been our no1 forward pretty much all year, he is leading our goal kicking!!!! but he was double teamed yesterday, pretty much all game, we got a quick break outta the backline, and brad had 2 freo guys spoiling his marking when we have neitz and robbo in the team, miller gets 3rd best backman, and with the confidence he is gaining at the moment, will be a stronger contribuotor then plus he shows more heart and passion for the jumper than most in the team
  8. miller gets bagged preseason that he doesnt kick enough goals kicks goals, is leading the clubs goal kicking (i know about the injurys, but he has taken his chances!!) and gets bagged because of more Sh!t?? he is one of a few out there, busting his gut to get this football club to where it belongs, he mightnt have all the natural talent like other CHF's, but he has the heart, and is proud to pull on the red and blue...
  9. we were booing headland because he was not meant to be out there he is a mentally weak, soft thug any sympathy, any respect he may have gained after last week was shot to peices after whoring out his daughter as an excuse to get off 2 tribunal charges
  10. anyone thats not wearing red and blue now ive missed byron playing for us
  11. if the team lifts around his consistent efforts so far this year, we will be a very good team
  12. any who is near aaron davey, as so he can he get back to his best football!!!
  13. he is a sarcastic [censored], ill give you that!!!
  14. all this about moloney is because he was icing his groin on sunday, which he did the week before, and still played, which he did during the practice matches they are managing moloneys OP, i doubt it will ever be 100% gone, they are just being precautionary with it all, the same with sylvia
  15. if a melbourne player doesnt go striaght up headland and gets in his ear about ANYTHING!!!! i will very disappointed can one of you boys shed the mr.nice guy thing for a week, and start acting like a ruthless team, like essendon in 2000, like brisbanes 3peat team, like WCE, they are hard, dirty, but they win...
  16. can our club survive a bad year though? our supporters are fickle enough, what happens if we finish bottom, how many wont sign up as members unless we manage to put michael voss in a coach, gary lyon as an assistant, get chris judd, pick up a reiwoldt-like young gun, and put the club in excitement mode, then we are stuffed
  17. jamar needs a pack in front of him to play in the forward line one on one, any half decent defender will confuse him, and take a free mark holland is a better option out of the goal square
  18. speaking of this... luke molan signed with spotswood this year, playing with ex-falcon teammate "spud" theodore as playing coach first contest, molan is 5 meters away from the contest, looked out of it, leaps, and takes mark of the year in the first passage of play!!! kicked 5-6 to 3/4 time, when my friend watching had to leave probably to old to be re-drafted, but good to see ex-demons having a crack
  19. fergs/holland would not have played if they knew ablett wasnt playing selwood was eating a mars bar when they told to get ready, so no-one could have predicted it we had our best 2 forwards out, we had 2 of our best midfielders out, our best defender out, we had our "hardman" out, we had our best tagger out...
  20. im sick ND had the chance to try something new, to try some youth, get the club excited again but no... ferguson, bizzell, ward and wheatley still in the team look at collingwood this week - one injury, yet they are debuting 3 new kids why couldn't we try newton this week, or buckley the chances of pettard playing is probably slim to none
  21. play PJ at full forward, Newton in one pocket and Davey in the other Scarlett will take PJ, Egan will go straight to miller, Milburn or Josh Hunt are their next best defenders to take newton Throw in Sylvia, Yze, a resting ruckman, Bruce, Green, GODFREY!!!!, Bate and CJ i think we can kick enough score without Neitz and Robbo
  22. on yesterdays performance, he can play there, just not very well
  23. OUT: Neitz, Robbo, Brown, Ward, Wheatley IN: PJ, Sylvia, Buckley, Holland, Yze Whelan Carroll Holland Bell Rivers Green TJ Moloney Bate Bruce Miller Yze Davey PJ Sylvia White Jones Junior Jamar CJ Buckley Godfrey Heres the plan!!! Rivers - N.Ablett Carroll - Mooney Holland - Hawkins Steven King is currently not playing, therefore Ottens wont be playing too much forward, swapping in the ruck with Mark Blake, so he wont be as much of an issue. Before the bounce, Carroll and Holland run striaght down to Hawkins and start their usual bump and harrass routine (hopefully Mooney is a few meters away, and he comes running in like the hero that he is and gives away a free kick) Whelan and Bell play their usual stopping rolls, Greeny plays as our rebounder, his precision passing will be ten times better than brown/ward ect Travis Johnstone will probably be let free this week, after his poor game, they will tag Brucey (with Ling) so hopefully TJ can play his own attacking game If Brucey gets tagged, play him around the forward line, dropping into the true CHF area if Miller is leading high up the ground, if he doesnt get tagged, I would be playing him in usual role, making bartel or corey accountable for him Yze back into the team is needed this week, mainly playing forward, he can go higher up the ground to get some kicks and set up some play too Davey is not allowed to leave the 50 (unless its because he is chasing down someone) and just crumbs the packs all day, get back to his basics PJ to stay in the square, Sylvia to do the same, both should be able to cause them some problems I dont like Jamar in the forwardline ONE OUT - as he has no idea on body contact, positioning for a one-on-one contest (scarlett would run rings around him in this situation) if there is a pack forming, and he gets a run at it, he can crash a pack as good as anyone in the AFL, so short runs in the forward pocket is fine, but mainly bench/rucking If Chapman/Ablett starts running riot, Godders can tag them, annoy annoy annoy (both hate physical tagging) I picked PJ over newton for experience only, but ND might get a little adventurous during the week (if newton puts in some good training during the week, he will be in)
