  1. Both Davey and Davis would get demolished by Cyril. You'd have to think Bartram will get the job.
  2. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/tabid/7415/default.aspx?newsid=135366 A really good article by Matt Burgan on Cale Morton. I hope he continues to convert his critics into supporters...I think he might be a very popular Demon by tge end of the season.
  3. I think we're going to have to start labelling you the Kiss of Death, Macca! Rangers and Washington playing tonight in Washington. We will have both conference final match-ups sorted out if the Rangers win.
  4. The Devils have eliminated the Flyers. So it's going to be: New Jersey vs. New York/ Washington LA vs. Phoenix
  5. I think we will see Couch this week. By all reports he has been good in every game he has played for Casey. I also think we'll see Bennell. I do agree that he has been quite soft in the majority of his Melbourne appearances and has faded in and out of games, but good play has to be rewarded otherwise it sends a bad message to other players vying for spots.
  6. Ahh sorry for the misunderstanding. It will be interesting to see who he gets this week. Could be interesting to see him go against Buddy for a bit.
  7. The games against GWS and GC will be very interesting...at the moment I think GWS would give us a run for our money and if Ablett is fit and firing GC might too. We SHOULD beat both of those teams, but we will be demoralized after what is likely to be an 0-11 start and GWS will be eager for their first win and will know we are ripe for the picking.
  8. As humiliating as it would be, I would not be at all surprised if we did win the spoon.
  9. I can't see Philadelphia winning without Giroux in the lineup. Similarly I can't see Washington coming back to beat the Rangers. Seeing who comes out of the West will be very interesting. It would be great for the NHL if Phoenix could win the Cup, especially since they are still looking for a new owner. Meanwhile, if the Kings make it through and play the Rangers, they will have had the hardest possible route to a Cup by playing a #1 seed (Vancouver), #2 seed (St Louis), #3 seed (Phoenix) and a #1 seed (New York). Similarly, New York could have the easiest possible route to the Cup, if they end up playing New Jersey in the ECF and LA in the Finals. They would have faced a #8 (Ottawa), #7 (Washington), #6 (New Jersey), and #8 (Los Angeles).
  10. McDonald was stiff last week. He was good against Geelong, but not deserving of a nomination, IMO.
  11. I agree...I'd be disappointed to lose Jamar's leadership and experience, but we have quite a few promising young ruckmen waiting in the wings. I would be surprised if Moloney were offered more money anywhere else, so he would likely have to take a pay cut if he wants success. I can't see it happening.
  12. Hopefully Sellar doesn't play.
  13. That is ridiculous. We should be able to strike a deal that could send a player such as Bate to GWS or GC so they overlook Viney. It's completely unfair that other clubs have been able to secure players like Ablett, Shaw, Cloke and Hawkins with low picks and we will have to give up a very high pick for our F/S selection.
  14. Out: Sellar (if he's not dropped I will start questioning Neeld), Tapscott, Bate In: Couch, Fitzpatrick, Bennell -- All of these players have worked hard and performed well in recent weeks at Casey. They deserve to be rewarded for their efforts.
  15. Very dirty hit. JV is a tough nut though and I'm sure will be back on the field with no fear as soon as he possibly can be.
  16. The way our list is now we still need them both. Ask me again in 2 or 3 years and I hope my answer will have changed.
  17. I'm dreading this game more than any other game this year. I will be happy if we get within 10 goals.
  18. LA up 2-1 at the end of the 2nd period. Looks like it could be a sweep. Game 4 for NJ and Philly starts in a couple of hours.
  19. A little bit of a contradiction, perhaps?
  20. He also kicked 4 goals and was in the best. A bit harsh to bag him for a tackle.
  21. I don't think he knew the cameras were on him, to be fair (not saying I'm fine with the way they were acting). Blease was sitting next to them busy 'Tweeting' away on his iPhone...seems to be a bit on the outer with his teammates in my opinion.
  22. Sending JT to Casey would only increase the attention on him which would result in an increase of pressure on him. He won't be dropped...there are a few that are in line for that well ahead of him.
  23. A step backwards from last week, but a step forwards from last year.
  24. 6- Clark (obviously) 5- Jones (workhorse who never stops trying) 4- Frawley (Hawkins was well held) 3- Morton (getting better by the game) 2- McDonald (gaining confidence and doing some good things) 1- Howe (took a few good grabs and played a good second half after a pretty quiet first half)
  25. Ahhh how I miss seeing Halladay pitching in Toronto.
