  1. There were a few people who said Hodge before he was an option. I added him in after this was said, and those who picked him as their favourite to watch haven't re-added their vote. I picked Jetta simply because I love watching his lightning pace and great skills.
  2. It feels like an eternity since the last game...it was great having playoff hockey on every day for the past month and a half, but now I'm struggling with this six day break.
  3. Probably, he put in his fourth ordinary performance in a row. He needs some time at Casey to get match fitness and confidence back up.
  4. In a heartbeat. I also don't like the idea of getting rid of Jurrah at all. If the charges against him are dropped/he escapes without jail time, he is more than capable of being the X-Factor that our team needs. He is unpredictable, skillful, good in the air and at ground level and gives the opposition headaches. If we have a forward line that features a fit Howe, Clark and Jurrah the opposition will really struggle to create match-ups.
  5. I'd rather have Martin in the side than Sellar, even if he's not fully fit. He can sit up forward and stand there with one hand in the air while looking at the ground when the ball is coming in just as well and maybe even better than Sellar can. He is also a much better relief ruckman. I'd rather see an unfit Martin go in and relieve Jamar against Ryder and Bellchambers than a fully fit Sellar ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.
  6. Exactly. We could be sending Julia Gillard out there each week, and she may be trying, but she may also just be NO GOOD.
  7. He's got much more composure than Warnock.
  8. I hope to see Demons supporters out in full force to berate $cully and try and spur the Dees on to a win.
  9. It drives me nuts how we always have to wear our white 'clash' jumper against the Bummers. Do they even have a clash strip other than red shorts?
  10. I agree. We have about 100 thread dedicated to criticizing Jack Watts which would all be condensed into one Jack Watts criticism thread so this one surely does deserve a thread of its own. I was just answering Mr Morton's question.
  11. It's in the James Frawley topic in the Locker Room
  12. Argh! We never get any luck with this sort of stuff.
  13. It depends on which Melbourne team shows up. If it's the team that played Sydney, we have no chance. If it's the team that played the first 3 quarters against the Blues, we should win easily.
  14. Since you seem to know about this injury, is it one that will require offseason surgery? Or will it heal itself if he keeps of it for a while?
  15. Dangerfield is now off the market. Signed a 3 year deal with Adelaide this morning. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/137036/default.aspx
  16. Not saying it's a great idea by any means, but Martin is a VERY quick player. Probably in our top 5 over 100m.
  17. You don't think that Moloney should go for providing absolutely nothing? Or Sellar for pretty much the same reason?
  18. He's definitely the type we need, and despite his broken jaw, the time that he will have spent training with the MFC and playing with Casey will be invaluable.
  19. Yep, beaten to it, haha Just to clarify, by high first round pick I mean 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. A low pick would be 16, 17, 18 etc.
  20. Hmm alright I must misunderstand the system then...I've read several different versions of it so was pretty sure it was the way I'd stated. Assuming you're right, which it sounds like you are, GWS would be mad to bid for him if they think don't think that he is worth a #1 pick. Anyway, off the topic of JV. I think Melbourne will be bottom 3 with GC and GWS. The wooden spoon could go to any of those 3 and it's really going to depend on who comes out on top when we play those teams.
  21. No, they have to use their next pick so they would essentially be gaining the equivalent to to top 5 picks.
  22. Not to turn this into a Jack Viney thread, but Sheedy will lose nothing by bidding on Jack Viney and us passing on him. If GWS were to bid that he is worth a first rounder, they would be able to take Viney with their first second round pick before we got to him. By all reports Viney is worth a high first round pick, so GWS would actually benefit from us not taking him 2nd overall.
  23. Yep, I agree. The end of the 2nd quarter and the 3rd quarter were frustrating. We had so many opportunities and we had the ball locked in our forward 50 for what seemed like an eternity without being able to kick a goal.
