  1. The Stanley Cup Final is set. Devils vs. Kings. Definitely not a match up that I would have ever predicted. Go Kings!
  2. Wow...would have loved to have him on the Dees. He's a type of player we could really use.
  3. Haha I was wondering if you watched the same Joel MacDonald that I do, then I read the end of you post!
  4. After watching the game tonight, I had to put Stevie J in. I should have done so earlier but completely forgot about him for some reason. By popular demand, Luke Hodge's name has been added.
  5. While I will always be a Demons supporter through and through, I have watched more non-MFC games this season than I ever have before. I've come to enjoy watching many non-Demon players and marvel at their skills. Who is your favourite non-MFC player to watch? Are there any names you can think of that should be added to the list? Why do you like watching these players?
  6. Gold! I'd heard about this before, but never seen the video. Thanks for posting.
  7. That's a contender, but can you think of any report saying that Lyon was in talks with Freo? His discussions went completely under the radar while many in the know were convinced of $cully's imminent departure. Furthermore, not only did Lyon screw over the Saints, he screwed over Mark Harvey.
  8. At our best, we'd blow GW$ out of the water by 100+ points. Unfortunately, we haven't been at our best since Round 13 last year.
  9. Spot on. We can have the best facilities and offer long, large contracts, but the biggest pull factor to get star players to our club will be us showing some promise in the second half of the season. I wonder if Mitch Clark would have come to Melbourne if we'd played like this last year.
  10. That would be nice. It said in the article that the camera was attached to sunglasses. It would be pretty uncomfortable training in sunglasses, IMO. Cool idea though.
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csnXwp7iJEY Lawrie claims that he didn't intend to hit the umpire with his helmet. I think that being a professional athlete who throws things for a living, it is hard to believe that he accidentally hit the umpire who was less than 5 feet away.
  12. It wouldn't be the first time that a club has lost their best player. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him move, but I doubt it will be to the Demons.
  13. I think class is exactly what we're lacking. I do think it will click eventually, but I'm expecting big losses for the next 3 rounds and we'll be heading into the GWS clash with confidence at an incredible low. I know we are more than capable of thrashing teams like GWS, but as of now, I struggle to see it happening.
  14. Love the interview with the "Grey Ghost"; probably the best "Remember When" segment so far. Tom McDonald's Sam Blease impression made me laugh, too.
  15. I sure hope that's what happens. The fallout of a 12th straight loss to start the season to the competition's newest team would have a devastating impact on the club.
  16. You'd hope so. I'm actually very worried about playing GWS, though. I think if I had to tip, at the moment I would be tipping against Melbourne.
  17. Even if there were, Scully wouldn't be worth of my one cent pieces.
  18. Haha woops...misread/misunderstood the post.
  19. No, it's because many of our players are very good VFL players but have so far struggled to make the leap to being very good AFL players (see Watts, Fitzpatrick, Dunn, etc).
  20. Agreed. It's a shame that there's no Casey game this week for him to try and work back into form. There were several who should have been dropped before him.
  21. That would put us in finals contention. If only...
  22. We came very close in 2010 (losing by 1pt and drawing them), but were flogged by them on the QB last year. It would be so sweet to knock them off this year. I'd rather read about how good Melbourne were rather than how bad the Blues were.
  23. Collingwood. There are few things better than beating the Pies, and it has been too long since it last happened.
  24. Yep, first two in either NJ or NY, second two in LA then back to New York for game 5, LA for game 6 and New York for the seventh. I'm looking forward to seeing the odds for the Cup finals and whether or not LA will be favourites with the bookies.
  25. I don't really see your problem with RR's posts. Moloney employs his manager and is therefore responsible for what he says and does. If he didn't approve of how he conducts himself he could dismiss him and seek new management. It's not rocket science (then again Moloney is far from a rocket scientist, although he does need a rocket).
