Edited by Demonland - unnecessary language I think there is enough irregularities out in the open to indeed form the strongest of views that Tom has been less than honest. The way it went down in the last days is laughable at best and I dont think many are now trying to defend the view that he signed up the day he announced. As to when it when it went down lots of varying opinions.

now THAT's interesting....

pretty much says it all

I dont believe much of what young Tom says. I think he has been very sparse with the truth and has been in my opinion thoroughly discredited but I still wont go and parade opinion as proven fact. You use the word "proved" - Look up the word proof and then please provide some. If the above is what you believe then fine ( and it well may be the case) but without proof it is opinion.

You are very loose with the word "proof"

Jamar just doesnt seem to me Captain material - no valid reasoning...just leaves me hollow on that front..A bit like I never wanted to go Fiji and had no explanation as to why...I did go there and now i know -

Would not be surprised to see JT get the nod. Is he too young ? Probably. From all reports he has shown leadership qualities from day one and looking at him onfield, he never drops the head, always chases and does the team things. It would be a brave move and quite un-Melbourne like. If we were to be brave my feeling is that JT would not be the wrong choice to be brave about. If Grimes wasnt so fragile ( to date) he would have been a monty. -
What amuses me is the notion of who Neeld didn't talk about. Sort of reminds me when my mum bought me two hoodies for my birthday so the next day I immediately went to her place wearing one of the hoodies. Her comment was " What ? you dont like the other one ?"

I am very happy with some straight shooting - I read the Watts comment as a roadmap rather than criticism. With Aaron Davey - every scribe and knowledgable supporter ( be it from within our club or outside) knows what a disappointing year he had last topped up with some very questionable efforts - intimate knowledge is not necessary to state the obvious. Three cheers for the very very direct Collingwood approach.

I would say doubtful - Blease has shown one thing in his short time in AFL. He can be a line breaker and that is going to be his biggest weapon. Davey showed that a times he could also be a line breaker off HB but alas not for a while.

He was good for us (Martin Pike) and at times played as well for us as he did for others - he was moved on because of the "Drink" -

I dont like to spend too much time looking backwards - beside learnings there is little that can be changed retrospectively - to be productive we should spend most of our time looking forward. So the bottom line is that some of the boys have never done a preseason like we are doing now. There are two parts to a Blease/Davey equation - one which know is having blistering pace. The second part is what is missing - be blistering in both directions and still be blistering at the 30 minute mark of Q4. The staff we have now is obviously addressing the second part of the equation. So I will cut everyone slack as this preseason should be seen as the new dawn. -
without giving my ten, one that hasnt been mentioned - even though he came from a different club and only played maybe 3 seasons - Steven Icke - a 6 foot CHB ( whose arms were 7'4" long) - rarely beaten and a great decision maker - cool as a cucumber

Thats exactly why I do rate it !
