  1. As a fellow Demonlander said to me, he's a class above his team-mates
  2. pretty much sums it up for me redleg, especially the bit about jurrah i was so excited pre-season in anticipation of the dazzling feats he was going to perform but the x-factor has been missing from his game this year and while he might be grabbing a couple of goals a match, he's really failed to impose himself on games - 2nd quarter effort against Port notwithstanding
  3. Just ordered my copy through the club, looking forward to this
  4. great read from flanagan that quote about david kantilla - that his genius was that he could cope - is telling i think
  5. Fearless player with unquestionable courage, was a highly-rated defender during an era that boasted three of the game's greatest all-time forwards in Lockett, Dunstall and Ablett. Condolences to Sean's family and the entire MFC community.
  6. could never work it out why they didn't just go in order a vs. b, c vs. d.... it was always k vs. n , r vs. s etc !!
  7. very impressive game today, easily his best, good hands, runs hard..
  8. 6.watts 5.scully 4.mckenzie 3.green 2.howe 1.martin
  9. taken them on a few times now, i like how he's prepared to back himself when he's got the footy
  10. As many on this board would know, the Melbourne-Collingwood Queens Birthday match in 1958 drew a record home-and-away crowd of 99,346 to the MCG. In more recent times, the largest crowd for this fixture was 78,773, in 2006, while two years earlier there were just under 57,000. So how many do you think will turn up on Monday? Given our win last week, and that the current forecast for Monday is partly cloudy and an expected top of 15, I reckon we can expect 75,000 +
  11. Can be frustrating at times but yep, I'm definitely enjoying watching the new kids on the block start to gel together, including Air Jurrah And like Jaded said, thanks for the insight and perspective from LJ's family in remote Australia!
  12. Still looked a bit out of sorts at times last night but I reckon his workrate - for the most part - improved considerably on the past month. Was still a spectator on a few occasion but I reckon he tackled, chased and presented pretty well last night. The fact that he's kicking 2-3 goals a game without really hitting his strides is good enough for me
  13. Which bit? and no, I'm not!
  14. Had bad flashbacks to that final-quarter comeback when we were 41 points up at the last change and still lost the game.. ominously, that match was the subject of the half-time trivia question on the scoreboard tonight
  15. Both took ripper marks tonight, JT in the first quarter and Watts in the last Trengove has a superb mark for someone his size
  16. Gee he works hard
  17. Goes hard too I like
  18. Rivers Mckenzie Gysberts Trengove Martin Scully Apologies to Watts and Moloney
  19. whatddya mean? we've said that tonight we have to make a stand and.. oh. hang on..
  20. Forget Stynes and Buckenara, it's Eishold, Yeates and Campbell who should be burned at the stake
  21. not sure why people are having a crack at the president and his efforts to help raise $$ for a worthy cause.. it's not like it has distracted from his performance at the club would rather have had olivia newton playing than juice newton
  22. This is quickly becoming the story of our season
  23. Out: Newton Out: Newton Out: Newton Out: Newton Out: Newton Out: Newton Get rid of Petterd and Morton too and in comes Trenners, Dunn and Gawn Would be good to see Scully too but I guess that'll depend how he goes / pulls up at Casey Edit: Happy to turf out Maric too...
