  1. could never work it out why they didn't just go in order a vs. b, c vs. d.... it was always k vs. n , r vs. s etc !!

  4. taken them on a few times now, i like how he's prepared to back himself when he's got the footy
  5. As many on this board would know, the Melbourne-Collingwood Queens Birthday match in 1958 drew a record home-and-away crowd of 99,346 to the MCG. In more recent times, the largest crowd for this fixture was 78,773, in 2006, while two years earlier there were just under 57,000. So how many do you think will turn up on Monday? Given our win last week, and that the current forecast for Monday is partly cloudy and an expected top of 15, I reckon we can expect 75,000 +
  6. Can be frustrating at times but yep, I'm definitely enjoying watching the new kids on the block start to gel together, including Air Jurrah And like Jaded said, thanks for the insight and perspective from LJ's family in remote Australia!
  7. Still looked a bit out of sorts at times last night but I reckon his workrate - for the most part - improved considerably on the past month. Was still a spectator on a few occasion but I reckon he tackled, chased and presented pretty well last night. The fact that he's kicking 2-3 goals a game without really hitting his strides is good enough for me
  8. Which bit? and no, I'm not!
  9. Had bad flashbacks to that final-quarter comeback when we were 41 points up at the last change and still lost the game.. ominously, that match was the subject of the half-time trivia question on the scoreboard tonight
  10. Both took ripper marks tonight, JT in the first quarter and Watts in the last Trengove has a superb mark for someone his size
  11. Gee he works hard
  12. Goes hard too I like
  13. Rivers Mckenzie Gysberts Trengove Martin Scully Apologies to Watts and Moloney
  14. whatddya mean? we've said that tonight we have to make a stand and.. oh. hang on..
  15. Forget Stynes and Buckenara, it's Eishold, Yeates and Campbell who should be burned at the stake
  16. not sure why people are having a crack at the president and his efforts to help raise $$ for a worthy cause.. it's not like it has distracted from his performance at the club would rather have had olivia newton playing than juice newton
  17. This is quickly becoming the story of our season
  18. Out: Newton Out: Newton Out: Newton Out: Newton Out: Newton Out: Newton Get rid of Petterd and Morton too and in comes Trenners, Dunn and Gawn Would be good to see Scully too but I guess that'll depend how he goes / pulls up at Casey Edit: Happy to turf out Maric too... 19. 6 Sylvia 5 Watts 4 Joel Mac 3 Rivers 2 Jones 1 Martin
  20. This ^^ Also, the first 15 minutes was probably the most pathetic standard of football I've seen. Can't recall watching two teams repeatedly turn the ball over so many times. Did we even have anyone playing inside 50m?
  21. Trident seating is great - level 2 of the northern stand at about half forward. You can get an away-games version of the membership too, for extra $. It doesn't get you into finals, but it does get you a guaranteed access to buy a Grand Final ticket if we're in it http://www.melbournefc.com.au/Membership/Membership2009/TridentMembership/tabid/13280/Default.aspx
  22. oddly enough, before the northern/olympic stand redevelopment, the MFC cheer squad actually used to sit at half forward, in the red seats... was always a great atmosphere i agree though - behind the goals is a shocking place to watch the footy, although i did move there last week at Etihad to get away from stupid st kilda supporters good luck with your project
  23. have i missed the obligatory joke about these skills not being inherited from his father
  24. From what i remember he always played with distinction when he wore the Big V... I think he captained Big V too? Maybe someone can confirm..
