  1. Hhahahah and the Casey ressies won by 160 points! some fair margins out there, just the main ones the wrong way around!
  2. haha woohoo got that Charlie Sheen feeling! WINNING...
  3. How the hell could you take the op seriously????? Read it!!! It's a [censored] take.
  4. Yeah good on you mate then we'll put any Geelong player all over you're ass and see how you go.
  5. Excellent follow up post, man enough to say "I over reacted". I like you was so upset yesterday, but unlike you made sure to stay away from these boards as I was under the influence of a few beers and very very [censored] (off). It was absolutely as bad as I've seen in my 32 years as a Dee, they played as good as they can and we as bad as we can. Deadly combination. Just with all the hope and promise for this young team, it hurts bad, massive step back.
  6. Yep probably fair enough too. Guess I'm more looking into the future, him and Viney getting the ball and going forward sounds exciting.
  7. Noticed we have named Tappy as a follower, I'd be wrapped to see him play in the middle pushing up for a majority of the game. Jamar tap to Tap quick show of strength and a couple of steps Moloney style and a penetrating 65m dropkick to the top of the square!
  8. They have this year and next year to poach players I just pray we don't have to go through this with someone else again. Trenners is outta contract next year!!!!! 2009 draft picks 1 and 2 reunited at GWS!! I haven't added to this debate but with Scullys knee problems and Doc Larkin coming out and saying this knee injury will be with him for his entire career, I just cant see why GWS are talking a million a year for a kid with a sh!t load of potential but doubts about a dodgy knee. After all they are going to get the most talented kids in the land, why target another talented KID. Surely there is something wrong here. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of Scully being a Dee for life, but if he is going to be like Cooney, 3-4 weeks off 1 on, I'm just not sure I'd want the MFC to throw big bucks at him. Not to mention that that will likely get other players backs up that are on a 1/4 the money yet as good as him. Just don't know what I want to hear at the seasons end now, before the re-injuring of the knee I was a clear 'Scully to stay' now I just don't know. A couple of kids without the knee queries may just be a better result.. Sad really I feel for Tom big time.
  9. The 5 goal head start was never going to help, was only a 4 goal win after that if you are looking at it that way.
  10. And now the cats are set to welcome back Mooney, Ling, Stevie J and I think one more big name. Oh well no good praying to just play depleted teams, no improvement will come from that! Then again maybe a little confidence. I'll take any wins at this stage.
  11. ??? I thought it was bruising to the knee that kept scully out earlier in the year, therefore being an ongoing thing. What did he try to cover up?
  12. Just wondering if anyone knows the average age of the two teams that played?
  13. Wow you are obviously a Prophet! Come on mate, of course its easy to predict, there is always disappointment after a loss. I am actually the same as most on here though, I don't feel as bad as usual. The boys had a real crack today just were totally outclassed. That is all. We'll take a lot outta today and develop as a team.
  14. Rippa Post mate, didn't know half of that about Cale, I too would hang on to him because as you said his trade value now would be way down. Take the punt that his value will go up and if it does then obviously he'll be playing good footy for us and we may choose to keep him.
  15. Well lets hope that is true. I watched Ricky play his first full game in the Mids for the scorps a month or two ago and he absolutely dominated. I want to see him pretty much replace Scully and only go forward if we need to mix things up. Eventually I'd love to see Tappy running through the mid kicking goals from 70 too but we may have to wait for that!
  16. Lets face it we don't have many at all that stand up when we are down. I read this constantly about Moloney and Sylvia in the debate about how good they really are. But I struggle to think of many that are capable of standing up consistently when we struggle. I guess most players/teams are like that and if we can change that then we will be well on our way to becoming the premiership side that we all so badly want. I do agree with you about Bate though, definitely seems to be the opposite, pops up for his couple of goals when we are off but hardly noticed when we are up and running. So maybe when we are playing consistant good footy he doesn't quite cut it, I'm not sure. But I would love to see him stand up week in week out like he does in the twos. Very dangerous small forward for the Scrops.
  17. Absolute spot on with everything you said. Would be awesome if Jordie could go even close to shutting down Mitchell. The Ruck will be very important as long as the taps are to advantage (ie down Beamers throat) and Beamer really has to be on. I also like Nicho on Rioli regardless of whether his is running in the mid or forward line. But unfortunately I too think unless we are super efficient in our forward line they will rebound and hurt us badly.
  18. So, who cares, we all hope he gets to say it.
  19. Good on you buddy nice to read some optimistic posts, gonna be real tough but damn I hope you get to re-post on this thread "I told you so" That would put us in much much better shape to play finals if you are right.
  20. probably the one time we'd like the roller coaster to continue. Won last week, get smashed against the Hawks, Smash the Cats at Skilled, get smashed by Carlton but then smash the Eagles. However the roller coaster will need to stop there because that would mean Richmond will smash us the week after. On a more serious note I was wondering how we went in the weeks prior to last years Darwin game and found the draw to be equally as tough. We had Geelong the week after getting belted by 54, then Carlton losing by 41 and then that memorable draw with the filth. I was not too concerned about getting up to play in Darwin but if we continue to play games up there it will be interesting to see if a pattern arises in the weeks after. Then again when ever we draw these kind of stretches we are sure to struggle regardless of where we played the week prior. Still I look at it like this we are expected to lose all 4, so we have 4 free shots to try and snatch one, if we manage to it will not only be a great win, but will keep us in the finals race which has to be good for the spirit of the players and us supporters.
  21. Yeah the last time we beat the Hawks was 2 years before Neita retired, beating them by 75 points in round 8, 2008. I'd celebrate all week long with even a point win this week.
  22. You probably also gave them no chance at all in 2006 when they drew and then beat them by a goal, or the year prior when the upset them at SS. In footy anyone is vulnerable on any certain day. Their last month has been a little shakey too. I still think they will beat us but to say we are no chance at all is the very wrong.
  23. What the?? I know this, however if he was sick in the lead up to this game it may not be just that "kids have bad games" He looked sluggish from the get go, not just from the heat.
  24. Not great for Jack obviously but if true comforting to me, gives us a genuine reason why his stella form didn't continue. Would be hard enough running around up there losing Kgs let alone being sick the week prior.
