Providing there is not a massive difference in Salary. If the Dees want him and now have the money to throw at him and a long 5 year deal at the club he played for, who knows... just maybe. Really just like any other job offer, if he's offered a crap load more and the chance to get back with jimma and co he might just be tempted. I agree about the team he has built though, would be a mighty hard position to walk out on.

Bad bad call. To pay Scully a million a year and Trengove 350 or whatever he is on would be an absolute disgrace and probably create a player divide. It always goes back to scully doesn't it. Offer the kid what we think he is worth at the end of the season like he has requested and whatever happens happens. If we could snag Clarkson I'd be the most excited about our future that I ever have been.

I'd definitely buy the app if it was available on iPhone. Spend half my day at work reading over the news on the unofficial MFC app and a couple of other footy apps. But would much rather spend my free time (at work!) keeping up to date with demonland. Make it happen!!!! Please.

I'm very very happy with Jack but misleading stats, Jacks gets a lot as a loose man in defense and both just completely different players.

I'm with you mate, this thread is being extremely harsh on Barts, had he kicked 2 outta 3 of those goals people would be raving about his game today. I was as annoyed as anyone when he missed those couple and when he gave the 50m away but had those couple of goals gone that little bit straighter this negativity wouldn't be present. hahaha yep been alot of these threads. Because of up passion and up and down form we like to think that this will be a good week! I thought we'd rebound last week and get within a respectable 20-30 points only to find myself drowning my sorrows in the outta half way through the second quarter!!!!! As to OP I agree their backline does look their weakest link, but unfortunately their mids and forwards look far more superior than ours and that is probably where we will get beaten. However, I am marginly more confident than the last 3 weeks, but still have tipped the Eagles (obviously begrudgingly) Love the way Wattsy came out and backed Viney as senior coach.. Personally I'd love if he falls in love with the role over the next 4 weeks and puts his hand up for the job.

Has probably been spoken about on here but was just looking through some stats and we have only beaten 2 Vic based side in the last 4 years (83 games) They are Richmond and Essendon. Obviously we all know how bad we have been in the last 4 years but this is just plain terrible. If nothing else comes out of next year I want to see us end some of those long losing streaks ie North, Hawks, Saints, etc. Sick of just getting the wins against Richmond and interstate sides at the MCG.

I'm amazed by the lack of support for Jones on the site. I think he is one player that does try his rear off when we are down.

Correct. As much as it hurts, his words are true. Was just talking to my family about it, and basically said I wish I didn't love MFC so damn much. How much better / happier would our lives be if we followed a competitive club. But you cant change where your heart lies, so wake up Melbourne and build this club back up to the proud successful club we once were.

Anyone see the old feller get dragged out by 4 security blokes and coppers after being pepper sprayed. Crowd started chanting "you are a wa%ker" before he was dragged out with one bloke holding each limb. Was in the outer in one of the pockets up the punt road end I think at the end of the 3rd or start of the last. Started to really escalate cops and security running from everywhere and the crowd ready to join in. I was waiting for the guy to be dragged past me and I was expecting a huge muscley guy for how much force they used and then I saw what looked like a guy in his 60s. Pepper spray was a bit over the top, surely with all those cops they could have restrained him and dragged him out without blinding him.

Today and the last two weeks absolutely crushed us. Just praying for a somewhat consistent finish to the season(and I dont mean 70 to 190 point beltings). Another very long off season coming up. Just wondering if it is just me being optimistic and bias but I having been tossing up for days if I should tip us. Sitting 2nd in two comps and I have a strong feeling we will stand up and beat this mob but then again probably more hope than anything. After last week don't know how I could even think about tipping us, but after all, the week after a belting is the only time we seem to play well.

Yeah it can be done in NZ. I remember reading somewhere that one of the facilities they use in Arizona (maybe some kind of compression chamber or something similar) is one of only 3 in the world. One of the others being in NZ. Surely get the cost down a hell of a lot if we could get even similar benefits from a NZ altitude trip.

He has already said he has no ambition to be a career coach and will not apply for the job, but who knows could change his mind after a taste of it, particularly if the players respond well to him and we finish the season well. Just read this on sportsandracing.com.au and they still have Lyon as favourite to coach us next year. I just find this really strange considering how many times he has stated he does not want to coach.
