I think he was truthful in that the MFC will be the only football club he plays for throughout his career as GWS doesn't constitute a Club, but a manufactured money wasting franchise that will never encompass the traditions and soul of a Football Club.

The reality is any club that tanked has done so within the rules (maybe not spirit) of the game, so an investigation into it even if it confirmed that they did do it cannot punish them anyway. The AFL rules would be the only thing that could change.

This reminds me of the 80s when I use to read the paper and see teh results of some of the old VFA teams when they were on their last legs, like Camberwell etc - combined thrashings for their seniors and reserves of 50 - 60 + goals. in fairness to them I think they may have struggled to field full teams unlike the D's today who were close to full strenghth.
