  1. I think Warnock's form has been pretty good. He was ordinary by foot last week but apart from that he has been playing his role. I can't see him being left out.
  2. I seem to very rarely agree with you Chook but funnily enough I agree with every word you've said here.
  3. Spot on. I find it hard to believe he is still on our list. Their isn't a player in the comp worse below his knees than Juice.
  4. Yep,that would be pretty standard across most of the competition. If the team is travelling well you get some more outside ball to add to the ones you go and get yourself. I think Beamer puts in every week. There's plenty of players that you could ask more from but in my opinion, Beamer isn't one of them.
  5. We tend to glorify the role of the coach but the clubs that spend the most money are the ones winning premierships.
  6. Hold on, "he got lot's of clearances" is a sledge?
  7. Someone's gotta run off and recieve the handball and Green's probably the right guy for the job.
  8. I think that's a fair call but any apology would not be for bagging his performance but for those who said he was faking the injury. Surely that's fair.
  9. Or the opposite...asks too much of him. But yeah, I see your point.
  10. Great Comment. Couldn't agree more.
  11. Maybe try waiting 24 hours or so after the game before posting.
  12. Lumping Warnock in with Juice is a bit harsh. I'm usually pretty positive and supportive of all the players but Newton is one guy that really gets me - If he's not standing up perfectly straight he looks a very ordinary footballer.
  13. Totally agree, he'd have to be one of the most dangerous players going around in this situation. We need to get Juice out of his way. He's just too slow and can't do anything below his knees.
  14. Thanks mate, appreciate the info.
  15. His 4th...nah, take it easy - it's just a reaction I have when he gets the ball. Some players have that effect, maybe he just looks a little awkward. Does anyone have his kicking efficiency stats thus far?
  16. I have to disagree about Bate/Newton. I don't think Bate is as much of a liability as Newton. Bate has been quiet but he at least gives a contest. I also feel that Newton gets in the way up forward. I'd rather see more room for Jurrah who does his best work when isolated up forward. Bate on the other hand works hard up the ground and although he's a bit slow, he is strong and tries hard. I'd like to see him play a couple in a row in the seniors, rather than the 1 week up, dropped, dominate the VFL, back up again pattern we have going on.
  17. Yeah fair point. He's going alright though. I reckon if we can get some good ball in there and get Juice out of the way he'll break a game open very soon.
  18. The sensible side of me agrees, but it's a very small side. Bring him in.
  19. Yep, spot on. I wouldn't move him for pick #1.
  20. We should just have a thread for every player on the list so we can talk about what they're doing wrong. Surely, there's more pressing matter than Jurrah. Like someone has already mentioned, if the ball came in a little better he'd be kicking bags most weeks and would probably be leading the race for the coleman.
  21. If that were a real situation, the last thing we'd need is a young player. We need all the experience we can muster, it would have to be an on-trade for another top-notch experienced ruckman and given that Jamar is just about the best going round I can't bring myself to name someone suitable. If this were real, I think I'd jump on the suicide train that travels 'round these parts.
  22. Yeah, I agree. The clash jumper for last week brought us closer to the saints jumper. Made no sense whatsoever.
  23. No chance mate, it not about discussion on here, just telling it like it is with a big full stop at the end. And yeah, I don't think anyone can argue that the WC senior group isn't better than ours in every way because ours is verging on non-exisitant. The problem I have with that is that leaders learn from leaders. Are we doing enough to mentor the next generation of leaders?
  24. Wow, I didn't know that. He's always struck me as being an ordinary kick to the point where I yell 'handball!' every time he gets it.
