  1. Regarding Davey, I agree. He's a good player who has had a bad season. He'll be back.
  2. I like him. He's not a flashy media performer but he seems genuine to me.
  3. Dawes would be alright if he didn't cost much but he's just a big body. There's not much else to him as a player.
  4. Don't know much about his coaching traits but I reckon he has to be one of the most under-rated defenders to play the game. His closing speed and abilty to spoil without much contact were second to none.
  5. Because Tom Scully is a star in the making. If he stays fit, he could become a great of the game.
  6. I want to see what Bate can do if left around the ball more often. He doesn't have enough pace for that lead up forward role and he has shown a little late in the season as a clearance player. Delisting or trading Dunn is probably fair. Newton/Campbell are the obvious delistings.
  7. A little on the pointless side, this one is.
  8. Chip is the best player Melbourne has right now, by a long stretch. Not too bothered with how he presents to the media. In fact, he could block his ears and sing old disco tunes during press conferences as long as he continues to set the example on field. I could live with him as skipper.
  9. I don't like Walker's mark. Nice jump but it was one on one. It was almost like a schoolyard setup. I think Krakouer's was an ok choice.
  10. AFL coaches clearly have the worst job in the world as far as job security goes. I find it refreshing that a coach has taken the iniative away from the club and extended his career in the process.
  11. Absolutely stoked that Junior is getting back out there. I reckon this is the perfect role for him and I hope he kills it up there.
  12. I was really surprised when Valenti was delisted by the Dees. I thought he was ok at AFL level when he got the chance.
  13. Spot on. There is every chance he will become the best player in the competition at some stage in his career. There is also every chance that Tom will miss out on playing in premierships with Melbourne and that's the only thing that matters from here on in.
  14. I'm confident the club will move on and all will end well but I reckon we've just lost a great kid. The way he spoke during his press conference made me realise why they see him as a possible captain. Having said that, I look forward to the GWS/Melbourne clash next year.
  15. That twitter account very rarely has any inside info. Last trade period it was all over the shop. My guess is that it's someone guessing.
  16. Great game. Both teams showed how the game should be played.
  17. That kind of negativity could only come from a melbourne supporter.
  18. What needs to be realised here is that journalists will do anything for a dollar. So, when they sit down and weigh up the Scully's situation they simply cannot fathom that a young man would be silly enough to give up as much money as Tom would be to stay at Melbourne all in the name of loyalty. I for one think that anything could happen at this stage but I hope he stays, not only because he is going to be a special player but because the backtracking of all of these journalists will be a sight to see.
