  1. Been saying this all along but got howled down. The emperor inherited a team from Rodney Eade, used a game plan devised by his assistant Ross Lyon , won a flag kicking a pitiful score by 1 point. And as soon as his beloved swans started to slide he bolted for the couch with Mike to see out his days pretending he was a coaching genius.
  2. Just finishing off what Neeld started.
  3. Hawthorn do both very well. Attack and defend.
  4. At least with bailey we got entertained every second week. Even when we 'rarely' win Roos bores the [censored] out of me. I refused to watch the Swans when he coached. I refused to watch the Aints and Dockers under Lyon. Now I'm stuck watching this garbage week in week out.
  5. Of course they played with intent. That was an Elimination Final. The next year they slipped to 14th with 5 wins. Not so much intent or spirit then. As for today. They need to redeem themselves for last debacle and smash this mob.
  6. Yes, doesn't just fork up incognito. Has great big "Look a' Moi" fork ups.
  7. So he should be , went pick 7 or something. Viney went what .... 23? The Toump tho' ..........
  8. I beg to differ.
  9. Meh, whatever. Still a [censored] game
  10. If their trading is hampered for another 4 years. That'd be great.
  11. A rugby supporters perspective. http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/they-suck-a-fan-vents-his-fury-on-a-pathetic-band-of-no-hopers-otherwise-known-as-a-football-team/story-fndv39ms-1227455137547
  12. Essendon would physically beat the [censored] out of most of our side. Just like they did then. And I'll tell ya something else. I blame Paul Roos for the state of the game.
  13. I'm with WYL. The Daniher era was a disgrace. Up down up down. The AFL has given us our chances in good time slots after promising years and we've blown them big time. And usually embarrassingly so.
  14. Hawthorn built their "something from nothing" on the back being 5 time day, 5 time night premiers during the 80's when all those kids that swapped teams to follow the top side matured and were able to buy their own memberships. Similar thing with Collingwood supporters but from the 70's. We've been shithouse for so long that even if we suddenly did get our sheet together and managed to sustained it we wouldn't see real improvement in our ageing membership base till 10- 15 years after. That how far back we're coming from.
  15. Sorry to disappoint you all but anyone any good will be picked off by the big cherry pickin' clubs up the pointy end of the ladder. We'll be the ones getting picked over as usual.
  16. Swipe his barcode and find out
  17. Dunno if Jurrahs body woulda held up anyhoo.
  18. That what we get when we got Roos. Hardly inspiring a new crop of supporters.
  19. Was listening to the radio last week pre-game and an old bloke got on and said he didn't like the umps throwing the ball up cause it took the randomness out of the play. Said it made it easier for the coaches to set up play for a ball that went strait up to the same height every time. Made sense, so I doubt it would help congestion at all.
  20. I laughed .... then cried.
  21. Been listening to this since '09.
  22. Passion , pizzed off .... Is that the same thing?
  23. That was a game of two halves. Competitive for the first , putrid for the second. I find we usually mix it all up together and it often amazes me that we are competitive at all considering how putrid we play. Which also makes me think as unattractive as the game plan is. Its obviously difficult to score against even with players determination to fork things up.
  24. I'd say 1 game against Geelong we were very good. In all others we've been a mixture of competitive and putrid , even the rare games we won.
