Would we overlook the next Judd or Selwood ect for the same reason? both injured during their draft years? I think Toumpas is a better player than Wines, can play inside even though his inside game is not really pushed as a strong point and is damaging on the outside with pace skill and on the score board.

Also depends on what sport they choose to play, talking numbers is fine, but if there is 100 "aussies" playing AFL compared to 100 greeks only 10 of them may play AFL, yes that it a stereotype but for a while it would be the case and still be in many cases that they may play soccer imo, which is fine. so only 10 may be playing afl and it is 100 vs 10 if you follow

Because he has never been consider a top 3 prospect!

Im pretty sure we ware taking Viney BH.....you meaning Wines yeah

Tappy has been to big imo since he got here, lacks aerobic capacity to really step it up, he looks to have trimmed down but is still solid, if he can now learn to run he has the skill to hurt teams, could be a good year, has done nothing as yet even if he is a good kick, no more than Strauss has imo and not much more than Tynan and Taggert all three could step up this year lets hope. and Strauss.

Would love any of Towers, Atkins, Carter, Rippon, Nelson, Tuppinwutti or Temay and others tbh, lots on offer still at 49 and 52 imo

My thought is that D barry has spent the last 6 months away from his folks and family and might get some leave being so young, my guess is in the NT for a few weeks and could be back at any time really, cannot expect him to go straight from school and TAC away from his family and expect him to hit the training for another 12 months or so without a break imo. hope to see him soon though. -
Love this bloke, hard worker just like Jonesy imo, a bit less talented but still good in the backline imo, hope he gets a coaching gig if he wants it like Mathew Egan imo, great to have around the club
-
He isnt good enough anyway imo to go top 3

Melbourne to field stand alone VFL team?
Jordie_tackles replied to ChaserJ's topic in Melbourne Demons
I made the point of saying prep school and before, i supported MFC in a loosely football family, non other MFC, i did not get to buy my first membership until i was 19 after following the MFC for whatever reason for 13+ years, it will take this long for true benefits to be felt form Casey imo -

It would keep people at the venue longer potentially is my point, plus a few extras who support Casey currently -
Melbourne to field stand alone VFL team?

I think the cost a stand alone is obviously large, but the benifits are equally as significant as many other investments with FD dollars surly? larger extended squads to track players with, 100% development of MFC listed players ect -

Issues with curtain rasiers is the effects to the turf, i think we would have a bigger chance of having the opposite,, an encore typo scenario? -

Pokies and things will be nice and can earn Millions if in the right place, North Ballarat VFL team kills this trade but they are a bit lucky i feel. It is a pain for the players, in a way but i would like to see a MFC player at every school in Casey every week if possible, doing sessions ect, this would give us a membership base, and you need to start early preps as a minimum to get them, hard to switch kids, but parents will enjoy having the interaction imo especially if there kids arnt quite into it all yet. My biggest worry as a MFC supporter is the next generation.......everything else can be taken care of ect but future support cannot be bought with $$$ alone -
I didnt think he looked like a thug no haha I think alot of people smile differently and to lesser degrees, i am on who does this imo Also in all the interviews so far he would be nervous as all hell imo, 17 or 18, just drafted, heaps of hype and attention, a room full of journos, moving the whole way across the country, im not saying he isnt ready for this but im sure the best of us would be a bit nervous, unsure, excited about such events.

http://www.melbourne...36/default.aspx Video with Jade rawlings, i tuned out a bit and just watched the boys train ect, Sellar looks fitter imo, Spencer is a big unit, well defined imo, everyone looks good but hard to tell much apart form that from what i saw. Says we are fitter than last year ect, not a shock to the system this time for the guys who were here last year, everyone is enthusiastic to train now compared to last year. If anything it reinforces how far back we were last year compared to what was required. edit - glad and this is the first insight i have had but the watt bike session looked good, very vocal form Misson which i havnt seen before, Royal in there laughing about how hard it is ect but im glad its this full on
