  1. Dont expect him to make an impact until he is around 21yo tbh OD Next year i will be happy if he enforces himself upon VFL games The year after pushing AFL as we push up the ladder He is only 19 so i dont expect a 19yo KPP to walk in, even Watts was so so until what 20 and he got gifted games early. Edit - and i watched him at VFL level which impressed me, how much he plays like Watts is surprising really, just doesnt venture so far down the ground like Watts can do, plays around the 50, really good disposal.
  2. Yes i thought that, but who else makes TV's in China? Sony is Japanese, Samsung is Korean
  3. And Cook is coming through, dont know how he will end up, i am openly a big fan of the kid. But Clark, Cook and mobile Watts could be great great Forward line to start with
  4. Chnaghong from wiki: "In 2004, 90% of the television sets exported from China to the United States were made by Changhong."
  5. In my opinion, we should go after the really good players. Beams and Sidebottom types aren't A grade which is what we want to bring in. This also isn't an extensive list atm, but a good thought. I would be happy enough to go to the draft, players we have gotten in the early to mid teens recently include Grimes, Frawley, Gysberts Prior to this though it was Bate, Dunn The other thing is can we bring in another BIG name with our salary and many players beginning to expect wage increases through their 20's? Maybe with Jamar and Green on the Vets list?
  6. Yes exactly like that, i think they definitely need to make a move sponsorship wise if they want to become a player in the Australian market. And if they are the second largest manufacturer in China then they will have the $$$$ to splash in our Market easily. You can be first on the scene, maybe it was in the back of my mind from that post.
  7. Another one i had thought of is that Changhong or whatever it is. BIG Asian/Chinese television and electronic company sees looking to expand atm. http://changhong.com.au/
  8. True story, or atleast scans from what i gather?
  9. Someone also commented on numbers being short and Chris Connoly filling in the match practice haha, and having the ball on a string. Also a tall blonde unknown player looking good, Roberts, Sheehan or taggart?
  10. i dont think its his ability Its mental, is he commited or can he be Can he move to Victoria for starters?
  11. I know i posted this link....but as many have pointed out it is one of those clips you can watch over and over again and it really captivated you, its so believable is obviously real but it puts shivers down my spine nearly every time. Norm Smith really bled for our team, and it is ridiculous to think that the board at the time didnt back and sacked the now Coach of the Century. so very diappointing and was the thing which spiraled our club into half a century of obscurity really.
  12. this is it, the Bailey years are OVER Its officially Neeld time people Next year could literally be anything
  13. I dont disagree that Moloney goes missing at all, he does but what i want to ask is who else would go missing in the MFC team from the last 3 years? Bartells? Powers? Sewell? I honestly think that these guys may also stuggle in our team gone by, because they all put in bad performances in top 4 teams....
  14. i agree with your points, but it may just come down to the offer? You dont get the best offer straight up often or from the first company you come across ect Do you want on now or potentially a better one or one in the league that we are obviously aiming for? it isnt 2012 yet so im not worried, last time we started NAB without either sponsor no? and now its still only Novemeber when NAB comes and we dont have one i would be super worried? Also if Port cant get one then getting a really good second major sponsor wont be simple. will be done though, the board and CEO have been great in recent times remember. Maybe we are gunning for a second record major sponsor ect
  15. Please explain before making crap sweeping statements like this...doesnt help your argument when you dont. In a top midfield we would all see how good Moloney would be. Do people wait and think why he is good against lower teams? maybe it is because the other players in our midfield can actually help him, rather than being cut to pieces by the Geelongs and Collingwoods of the competition. AFL is a team game, very few players can dominate in a crap team, Judd at Carlton, Ablett at Geelong, but these guys arnt just A grade they are stars of the game in general. You want Moloney to dominate against the best teams when they have 3-4 A grade players of genuine ability and so many people are willing to say that our best midfielder is a C grader or B at best, what does that say about they guys he is working with? You cannot win a midfield battle with one player.... it takes 10 and 23 good players on the ground playing good football to compete with the bad teams not to mention to better ones. So when he seems like a flat track bully as people say maybe it is just that he has the resources around him to help him dominate, resources we lack when we play better teams. because they are better than us atm, some quite significantly.
  16. My take would be for style of play Johnson Petterd >>>>>>Jurrah Goal scoring ability Johnson Jurrah >>>>>>Petterd On Jurrah if we can get Clark, Watts and Howe to be main focus's ahead of him then the opposition will struggle to match up on him, or if they do it means that Howe or Watts will expose another defender, this is why Clark is such a good recruitment. Also i said before that Jurrah had 11 goal assist this year eqaul 4th for the MFC so you can say he contributed 50+ goals for the year..... Also people who are questioning about why he is running laps, im sure it is because he isnt fit, nothing against him but he has had 1 preseason under a soft coach who may have been soft on him. If he can last this pre-season under Neeld and Misson we may see a Jurrrah who is twice as fit.....that is dangerous, also may help him get to more contests and defend more often if he feels he can run that much more. He wont be running as many laps after Christmas imo, has to stop somewhere, at least i hope so for Jurahs sake haha
  17. The more this has played out the colder i have become on Manson. He on talent alone would already be drafted. Trouble is he has some huge baggage. Before we selected Jurrah he had committed to VFL for 6-8 games i believe and had the backing of his family and community. Manson wants AFL but doesnt want to sacrifice for it seemingly, if you believe that he left draft camp ect and cried ect I just dont think we have the resources to deal with him, or that his position is of utmost importance to our structure. Also Rookie spots can be very valuable commodities, mainly because you invest in 6 a year and maybe find a gem in 1, when you write one of these spots off you reduce the odds of finding that gem, not that Manson couldnt be one if he can commit.
  18. This is a clip that i was directed to, only short but i remember a second also
  19. I think it is positive that we are above last years targets at this point considering how poorly we finished the year. People my just be optimistic with the new coach...so hard to tell
  20. Ok maybe may memory is [censored], still happened, and wasnt in a goof game for the MFC, never said jordie wasnt great in the Geelong game either, he was our best, but i was trying to show what Moloney will due for the ball and his team. better to knock a team mate over than to get caught
  21. sorry, wasnt a tough question from someone who wrote it, understand the google suggestion but im not asking other to research it for me, just say if they knew it
  22. People say this, but my memory is different, my biggest memory of Moloney in 2011 is during the 182, he literally pushed Jordie Mckenzie off his feet at a clearance because he was in his way, Moloney ran straight past/through a team mate to make a clearance late in the 3rd when the game was already blown past 120 points, this is what i remember. Very few players dominate when their team isnt playing well, and he isnt in a team that plays well often atm, only the best few in the league did this Judd ect. Moloney is great midfielder imo and would look super in a top 4 side.
  23. ?? sorry for being naive
  24. whats wrong with Moloney? he polled well in the brownlow in a crap team and worse midfield, dont see how he can be critised so much personally.
  25. He was cementing a spot, or atleast settling in, playing his best football so far. Never set the world of fire. but was improving
