Farewell Jesse Hogan
Straight swap Hogan for Lynch.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yep ,if your going to get into a Judd/Kennedy type trade, make sure you get an absolute Rools Royce not a clapped out old Holden. Can we get into the Lynch game?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Should be in the drivers seat on this one either way ,shouldn’t we? Hogan has apparently said he’s open to the idea “if” a trade can be worked out ( think they may have left out the word “suitable”). If a suitable deal ( suitable to us) can’t be worked out , that’s fine, Hogan will always be embraced by the supporters if what’s offered isn’t suitable or fair and we just match the offer and move on. If as suggested, Freo really want him, figure out a way for two low draft picks (Not one cent less)and we can all move on. If not, it’s no deal and Hoges will still have a great career with us. Isnt this the way this stuff is supposed to work?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Goodwin says he’s happy and required , Gus says he’s happy and a Demon, Jessie not saying much, seems all good to me. Lynch might be an adequate replacement if he did want to go, but think we would be losers otherwise.

Andrew Gaff
Haven’t given up hope Hunt could fill that role.

1964 memories- calling our older supporters
You make a good point . The Demon noise last Friday from our supporters was wonderful music and brought back memories of the 50/60’s. I think it’s inportant to understand what has just woken. The coach certainly does and I suspect a few Geelong and Hawthorn people do too now. Congrats to all who went and yelled like crazy. It was powerful. The Frog lived around the corner in Carnegie in 1964. Was a local boy and played juniors at Carnegie before going on to bigger things. Always a good bloke and a great mate of Lenny who was also a handy district cricketer.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
He’s a very nice kick and disposes of it pretty well. Improves a little with each game. As he gets stronger he’ll take some stopping.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Could there be any greater need shown by May and Lynch to revisit this whole concept. Bottom clubs are far too easy a target and the beneficiary doesn’t feel much pain at all.

Bernie Vince Retires
If Max can get be in the media each week surely there’s a role for Bernie somewhere. Also been part of the modern game and strategies unlike many in the media still going around. Come on Fox there’s only so much Dermie I can take.

Andrew Gaff
You might be on the money.

Andrew Gaff
Kent and second rounder for Gaff probably gets it done, probably even already done, but personally not over excited at the propospect of this.

Site Issues?
Also had a problem. Norton bloked a potential virus from a poster I didn’t remember seeing before. Sorry can’t remember details. Just got off site as fast as I can.

Best MFC team in last 50 years
JohnsonT, Johnson R, Adams, Barassi, Williams, Mithen, Lord, Roet, Bourke, Dixon, Townsend, Ridley, Case, Tunbridge, Groom. Probably missed a few.

Best MFC team in last 50 years
About 3 of them would have made the best team prior to that.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Of course there is. Those three are pathetic. Where was the moral outrage on Scully multiplied a thousand times for the lies to Jimmy ?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Interesting, quality ready mades preferred to the TAC under 18 lottery. Hawthorn been on to it for years and overlaid the family club salary rubbish as well. Unless the initial kids draft period is extended to 4/5 years could be heaps of fun for those Victorian clubs who truly bottom out. Maybe a boom and bust cycle after a period. Expect pay disparity between top players and lesser light minnows to widen now that the trade thing really opens up.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
The difference might also be because Goodwin coached them and had input into recruiting. Semantics
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I see that differently and pretty much semantics. Goodwin was the conductor of the Orchestra this year and excluding making the finals met expectations. Where we finished is where we finished. The Coach was Goodwin. As an aside I suspect the not making the finals might burn in this very competitive beasts, guts and may have a little to do with this thread. I don't necessarily have a problem with that either

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Seems to me that if you are regarded as good player you are well compensated. If you are perceived with deficiencies, clubs as you would expect, are constantly on about improving the list and you may become involved with this. I am also unaware of a completely happy, pleasant way of facilitating player movement on all occasions. Every Melbourne supporter wanted Watts to be a Carey, Pavlich type gun player. ( Every coach pre Goodwin too I suspect) Instead he became an okish player over a lengthy period IMO . Good some days , ordinary others ( some when we were really needing him to show up). Over the top emotion on list management and financial club mismanagement can wreck clubs. We should understand this better than most. I'm happy to support Goodwin, he improved us 20% in his first season.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Get him. Get an A grademidfielder and 2nd large string ruck. Don't guff a continental about anything else. Dint care who we trade. Job must be done Trading Delidio sent the clear message.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Not necessarily however it does raise the point of resigning/extending Petraccca's contract . I'm sure other clubs already have or will have a decent crack at him so I'll sleep better when that little matter is attended to.
