  1. Still think Freo are desperate for a key forward. No I think Freo are really desperate for a key forward.
  2. In staying he might also end up part of a premiership side and confirm it’s a very nice place to be. Mahoney stumped up two first rounders for Lever last year and has said he want the highest trade payment ever and closed his satchel. So quite a bit to occupy the minds of the Freo recruiters I imagine.
  3. Realise it’s worked well for us in the past but not sure about aggregation and lower picks this year. Looks like a few “Rolls Royce” units in picks 1-6.
  4. Fantastic! I thing they call that the Darling manoeuvre.
  5. That’s fair enough, but if we say want to deal ourselves high into this years draft how would we orchestrate that?
  6. Freo are ‘desperate’ for a key forward. Posturing for a sweetener. Our blokes won’t be waiting all day on Freo or Jesse ,as we obviously have business to attend to as well. No panic necessary, Freo understand how the games played. We wont blink first.
  7. Mahoney seemed crystal clear.
  8. Mahoney is usually clear about his position. Haven’t heard him say things he didn’t mean and don’t expect it to be any different should Jesse wish to leave.
  9. Wife beating could be up a notch tonight. What a great favour Richmond did the footy world, allowing us to watch Collinwood lose another grand final.
  10. Straight swap Hogan for Lynch.
  11. Mitchell is pure A grade and Rioli a master. Richmond players fast and with tricks. Other than Garlett, the little blokes on our list ( Viney, Jones, Johnston , JKH Spargo) are not quick. Spargo ok and Viney plays — well like Viney, but they are not quick. Is Dion Johnston quick? Spargo has leapt him already. Not saying quality smalls aren’t required, just need to have ‘hurt’ abilities. We are full of ‘vanilla’ smalls IMO. You want vanilla , please make it 188 with grunt like AVB. I understand the pull of the family, but I have loved his last 1/2 doz games and so apparently have Sydney. Want a fair return and definitely not another midget like Zac Jones. Where we finished, we need the icing.
  12. Took forever to get the midgits who get knocked aside by mobs like Hawthorn, WCE , Sydney off our list, looks like we can’t help ourselves, filling up again. Garlett, ( Gone, but still contracted) Johnston, ( ?) Spargo, Jones ( just about gone) and the young prospect coming. Under 185 you need speed, heaps of tricks and 2 goals min a week IMO Kent and AVB decent losses. At first pass doesn’t look great to me, however we’ve seen Taylor magic before.
  13. Sydney are smart and have pounced. AVB is surely going to have to live in a capital city for training and travelling interstate. Lets see what we get before we get too [censored] off I suppose. Should be something decent for this bloke.
  14. Would be a decent loss.Very hard match up. Big, plays tall up forward ,strong, tough, tackles and does all the hard stuff including turning up to a preliminary final. We get left with little kids who can’t stick a tackle and don’t risk their bodies like Hannan, Spargo, JKH. Its interesting to note the improvement in our side later in the year with him in it. Who would you rather have in your side. Sydney aren’t stupid are they?
  15. Don’t need to trade for Gaff, just a shipload of coin.
  16. Yep ,if your going to get into a Judd/Kennedy type trade, make sure you get an absolute Rools Royce not a clapped out old Holden. Can we get into the Lynch game?
  17. Should be in the drivers seat on this one either way ,shouldn’t we? Hogan has apparently said he’s open to the idea “if” a trade can be worked out ( think they may have left out the word “suitable”). If a suitable deal ( suitable to us) can’t be worked out , that’s fine, Hogan will always be embraced by the supporters if what’s offered isn’t suitable or fair and we just match the offer and move on. If as suggested, Freo really want him, figure out a way for two low draft picks (Not one cent less)and we can all move on. If not, it’s no deal and Hoges will still have a great career with us. Isnt this the way this stuff is supposed to work?
  18. Massive learning experience for our blokes. You couldn’t compare that to Hawthorn or Geelong games, where quite clearly our boys stood tall. Goodwin was concerned about contested ball and tackles moreso than fumbles. Likely, that’s where we will see ongoing changes made. Its not the first time this year this has happened and when those games are reviewed and a a clearer pattern will emerge. Some of the changes to the playing list may surprise us, who knows, but I have faith Goodwin will find what he wants. Taylor is pretty good at his job.
  19. I like that Goodwin wasn’t banging things and throwing water bottles. He was dirty but calm. He got a reality check on the capability of our list under real physical pressure. Good for him to find that out now rather than next year. I doubt if he’ll review the younger ones too much ,but some of the experienced campaigners who we expect to show up every week ,have might/should get a tap on the shoulder, if we are to make the next step.
  20. New boot supplier please
