  1. Right. Not a bad effort. Two guesses. Both of which will prove incorrect. A draft sevant
  2. Brilliant. It was a great night last season. If we can win a couple of early games it could be a big game
  3. Hadn't read this thread at all so when i opened landed way back on the 15th October. Clueless? Is that same club that trumped the bombers to jump ahead of them in the draft and get pick 3 (and 7 to boot), i imagine much to their immense frustration.
  4. Ok i concede the tiges take the prize for missing a once in a generation player for a once a year one. But surely we deserve a prize for sustained excellence in recruiting blunders. Sort of a lifetime achievement thing. The Barry award.
  5. Melbourne: Missing: Tyson, Vanders, Kent, Jetta, Frost, Pedersen, Dawes, Watts, Lumumba, Petracca, Trengove* Our list of outs is also pretty scary. You could make a strong case that all 11 of them are in our best 22.
  6. Tambling was not great but surely Cook takes the prize. A number 12 pick who never came close to playing AFL footy and we delisted not traded.
  7. The worst drafting blunder? I think the dees has a lock on that prize
  8. By that criteria I have to admit there is little chance I will be selected as a Category B rookie. Bummer. Would have been quite the story.
  9. Could not agree more. Add jetta to that list as well. It would be great to have a lucky year injury wise next year. Starting with a healthy track, trenners and Kent
  10. Thanks for the insult. So you think being a bit over the limit is no big deal? Where do you draw the line on drink driving 0.08, 0.09 or perhaps 0.10? How on earth could you argue the bit from my post is tripe? Are you honestly saying that someone who is 0.06 is not impaired, not affected by alcohol? Is that what you're saying? With your speeding analogy you're also implying that you don't really deserve a penalty for being just a little bit over? You really believe that? Note i didn't say drunk, i said impaired. The difference between life and death in some accidents might be literally a split second reaction time. Any impairment might impact on that reaction time. That's why we have a limit. It is a serious offence to go over, far more serious and much more likely to be a factor in an innocent person being hurt than some bozo taking a line of coke in Vegas.
  11. By the by pro dee I'm with you on king. Going forward I reckon he will be crucial player. I remember thinking when he kicked a goal in his one and only nab game in 2014 that he had something. Quite agile for a big fella
  12. As I might have said in primary school - der fred.I'm surprised wattsy even got in pro dees depth list
  13. Dunn not in our best 22? Please.
  14. Like red heads are callwd bluey maybe tiptoes is brayshaw?
  15. An important element in this play was getting the melk. Some on dl think we paid covers and some said we went to early and should have waited to drive the price up. But getting it done early was critical as it didn't hold up other trades and indeed it gave ESS some currency to get their trades moving. In the end it mattered little if we gave up 25 or 29. Also we needed to ensure if we were going to angle for high draft picks that we got a player with approx the same number of games and age as howe lest we unbalance the list. In an ideal world we would also get a player who could slot into the back line to replace howe. And we wanted a tough, hard running competitor. Given all that clearly it was not overs after all. The melk perfectly fitted the bill and as required we got it done early and without fuss. Well played A+ for mine
  16. That's a nonsense. Over is over. He was impaired. If he had been involved in an traffic incident that required him to react his impairment might have caused an accident. If there was a fatality he would likely go to jail for manslaughter - even if the accident wasn't his fault. Assuming Carlisle didn't drive - and there is no suggestion he did - who did he put at risk other than himself?
  17. Do we need more mids? Absolutely. In fact it remains our biggest need. The top teams have 10 a or b grade mids. How many do we have?
  18. Kudos. In a bare season for rumours you nailed a good one
  19. I know nothing about future players but i have to say i would be concerned about picking up Weideman given the fact that he suffered this year from a foot fracture. Even though Jetts and Garland overcame foot fractures we have first hand experience of how difficult it can be to get back from one with Clark and Trenners. That said i have no idea what the actual fracture was and it may not have been a navicular. Still any foot issue is a worry.
  20. Fair point. I agree with you on the point about how he could have arrived at the brilliant idea of sending a video of himself to anyone doing a line. What a fuckknuckle. Also did i hear right that he did the line in the US? If so he's taking a pretty big risk career and life wise. A drug charge in the states would mean he might end up in jail and most certainly would never be able to travel there again.
  21. And nor should it. Said it before and say it again the players were insane to agree to including use of illicit drugs outside of match day testing. In any case he hasn't tested positive and for all Jake and anyone else knows what he thought was coke might have been talc
  22. What about pick 3 and 7 for Kennedy?
  23. It's nice to be cryptic but what does this mean? Who the hell is Shaun Smith's son?
