  1. I meant that Goody could have prevented any rumors by explaining his omission. He has been around long enough to know that not selecting jack and not giving any reason (eg he could have just said they want to rotate the forwards and give them all a crack) was always going to fuel speculation and potentially also rumours.
  2. My guess: By all reports (DL and in the media) Watts has come back from hi s off season break in great condition, has not missed a training session since and is in good shape (which is pretty evident from the pictures of him). He goes to Qld for the intensive 10 day training club and perhaps does not apply himself (across several areas perhaps eg diet, on the track, preparation, participation in craft and education sessions) - to the level required, particularly of a senior player. A couple of days after returning from the camp we have our intra club game and he does not perform very well and perhaps his preparation for it was not ideal (maybe went out and caught up with mates after being away?). The coaching panel not impressed (and this dribbles out and becomes a rumour) and advise him he won't be picked for the first JLT game. They tell him to pull his finger out and through his efforts on the track demand his spot for the next one. If i'm right no hanging offence and i applaud the approach taken. That said at this point in his career Watts should be pushing to be in the leadership group not being reprimanded for his attitude, I expect Goody will address the issue pretty directly (as, refreshingly is his wont) in his next presser and say something along the lines that others fighting for forward positions worked harder over the last two weeks and the intra club game and deserved a game more than jack. As an aside goody could have headed all of this off at the pass and made up some spin as to why Jack was not selected in his pre game presseer. He chose not to. I am assuming to send a message to Jack.
  3. Fair enough to share the info pd. But I understand nasher's cynicism given instead of simply sharing the info in the same thread as the original rumour you chos to start a brand new one. And I can't remember the last thread you started. Still, can't blame you. If you start a thread, you want people to engage in it (hello Bobby Clark) and nothing drives engagement on DL more than one having a shot at wattsy. Anyway I hope the rumour is untrue. I do agree however that rumours about poor attitude have more credence than trade one given managers fuel the latter and there is no incentive to fuel the former (except malice perhaps)
  4. An element of confirmation bias iperhaps pd, in so far as you are choosing to believe what are only rumours. But if they do prove to be true i would be equally annoyed. Given where we are at in our evolution and the fact he has a new coach anything less than 100% commitment is unforgiveable. It might be lucky for me we bet last seaon not this one
  5. But pd is. God bless him
  6. You da bomb choke. Have been wondering if it is worth getting a chromecast. You just answered that (and my previous) question. Another q. Do you use your chromecast much and if so what for?
  7. This survey is pooluted1 i voted love it for the red jumper but the poll is for the white one, no?
  8. I have endured a live pass hassle as well. namely i have enabled it on my (samsung - android) phone. However i have been unable to enable it on my tablet or my PC. in the case of the PC it means i can't access replays (which i could last year). I have contacted telstra but their (off shore) call centre are clueless (not their faulkt) and have twice now refereed me back to a so called 24/7 contact. Which first puts you onto a 'crowd support' web page, where the telstra 'community' (ie customers) can help. I have not been able to speak to anyone direct who can help thus far. Anyway a comment from Telstra on the crowd support page says that currently there is an issue with enabling live pass across multiple devices (despite the ads for live pass pumping up this aspect) and that it will be resolved before the start of the AFL season. So no replays for the time being. youtube is your friend there (though quality can be poor as is the case with the replay i watched of the doggies JLT game). A question for Samsung and/or android users. There is a cooment above that you can plug your phone into the tv via a HDMI adaptor. Can someone confirm that is the case and if it actually works? Also i assume the connection at the phone end is the same one that you plug the power cord into? Same question for chrome cast. Does it work?
  9. Unfortunately i'm not able to make the game (for reasons outside my control - we'll that's not entirely true i have instructions to get the house clean before going out tonight). I have a ticket if anyone wants it. It is $5 member GA ticket but i very much doubt they will ask to see a members card as you needed to enter a barcode to get it. So it will get both a member and non member in. Late notice i know but if someone wants it PM me with an email address and i'll forward it through
  10. Hold on. Perhaps your post was not meant to be ironic.
  11. Unbelievable. There is also currently an with the afl website on pc recognising live pass subscription. So can't currently watch replays as I did last year. I read something from Telstra that it should be sorted by start of season. Bollocks. Just broke my 7 inch and replaced it with a 10 incch. Largely to watch football
  12. we're bedding down a new game plan....
  13. Excellent. And if we win, by say a goal, i'll say we would have won by 7 goals if Wattsy had played (and 10 if the umpires had not given the doggies an armchair ride)
  14. #they'reonlypracticematcheswhenwelose
  15. Agree. However if we should win all 3 then it is is sure sign we are finals bound......

  17. Interseting also in terms of drunkns guess that we plan to select clise to our best lineup, meaning few young playwrs will get a guernsey
  18. God, imagine the handling fee Ticketmaster would charge to put a man on the moon - who incidentally wouldn't get there. The AFL would frequently change protocols, miscommunicate key messages and look to manage the outcome and also fail to get the man to the moon
  19. Indeed. And they have the cheek to charge you a handling fee for a fully automated system (and even though the ticket gets emailed to you)
  20. Alternatively you should now have two tickets. Wait until it sells out and sell one for 27.95 and get in for free! (or drag along a potential dees supporter!). or take it with you and sell it to someone who is a walk up
  21. Not your fault at all. Incredibly stupid process - i mean of course you indicate you want an adult ticket! If you can bothered you should ask for a refund of the $20 they stung you. They can put a man on the moon but.....
  22. I think you have paid too much.I just bought mine (after multiple error messages - it took about 45 mins to complete!) and i was correct before. You don't click on any of the ticket options just put your barcarole in from your members card and click thorough to payment section. 7.95 in total. Initially i clicked on adult ticket, which seemed logical but baulked at the cost. Thanks DeeSpencer. Saved me $20
