  1. Lock of the week? https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=6MhAmmge-Xk
  2. Yup while those wagners boys might have been considered ripping fellas not really hearing much about them driving higher standards....
  3. Only 3 players different for tigers from last years grand final. Always seem to come together at the right time.
  4. Carlton haven’t been able to buy success since 1995, and how much time has Clayton had to compare the quality of facilities and the so called ‘blueprint’? I could understand if it was collingwood/Richmond/Geelong but the blues?
  5. Still can’t fathom what Carlton offers over us in terms of likelihood of premiership success.
  6. Any else notice that Schwarz looked like he gave the goal umpire at pat on the bum after goal number 3?
  7. Great news. Albeit the timing is interesting given that the deep dive review is still apparently underway.
  8. Seems like a real solid citizen and just what our forward line is missing. Hope we can prise him out.
  9. Great news. Sounds like they upped the deal to 5 years after the initial offer was deemed to be lowballing him. Heart and soul players are so critical for good driving standards and behaviours. All the best for the next 5 years!
  10. This surely must become an issue for them soon.
  11. Agreed. Best speech of the night. I thought it showed class and maturity.
  12. Not if we had actually qualified outright by winning a game in cairns. We could have sent the dogs to Perth and knocked out collingwood...
  13. Well earlier in the season the team was likely affected by a lack of continuity in training and matches. So that might explain why it took a while to see any resemblance of a coherent team, which became more apparent in the middle of the season when we got on a bit of a roll. I’m not saying that’s acceptable but clearly many of those factors were out of our control. While the players may have sufficient fitness the tight schedule and travel means everything is compressed, including time for reviewing games, identifying issues to be addressed, preparing and communication messages to players via lines coaches, opposition analysis and strategising, etc. I suspect those are the areas where our footy departments weaknesses have been exposed recently.
  14. Therein lies my point. That the travel exposed weaknesses/issues that were there already and need to be addressed.
  15. It’s interesting because under Goodwin we’ve actually performed pretty well on the road. But clearly this schedule is punishing and I think would have exposed any weaknesses in a number of areas, from the discipline of individual of players in their preparation approach and through to the football department’s planning and operations.
  16. Carlton didn’t deserve to play finals in 2013 either. Just saying...
  17. Yikes. You know we are troubled times when Wiseblood is no longer able to muster any positives. A hug right back at you!
  18. Vanders was backing josh Wagner for a callup so no major surprises there. Brown showed his value in the preseason so not sure why so many complaints there either. Gonna back the ins this week given that we must have some useful intel from their former head coach.
  19. Backing us in. We been thereabouts and we have performed pretty well on the road the last few years. Gotta come together at some stage. Go Dees!
  20. Kent asked to be traded plain and simple. We may well have kept him if they didn’t make a better offer. The revisionism on here is also quite frustrating. https://amp.theage.com.au/sport/afl/melbourne-s-dean-kent-wants-to-be-a-saint-20180925-p505zp.html
