If you could say one thing to someone at the club...
Red&BlueBlood replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mark Neeld - Get angry, fire royal and nane names. Jack Watts - have faith son, take charge. -
No brainer, Cloke all the way. Really we shouldn't be looking at anyone that's over 25 years old. I see players like property - invest for the future, with a long term outlook. In terms of a mid - I like the idea of developing our younger guys.

Might have something to do with the 0-7 start?

Everyone Stand Up And Applaud Mark Neeld
Red&BlueBlood replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
If they play his style we will see how good he is as a coach, we have to build fitness, we have to learn aa different game plan. Should see some results 2nd half of this year, next year, etc -
My opinion: The players should have wanted to come out of the (and every) game with some respect. If they were playing for there careers or fear of job security they did themselves no favours. Mclardy did what everyone should do with an issue - confront those involved and seek a resolution. I believe that connoly was the main issue, hence his current "role". The fact he was late to the news isn't a slight on him, its a slight on those that kept him away from the situation. When I played footy you wanted to get a kick and beat the other team, you did what ever you had to do to win. Maybe the leadership group should of thought the same

Where are we at? Most of our best 22 are young and have played approx 40-60 games. It's clear the "game plan" under bailey did more damage than good. Our game plan now will take time to become the norm, with Neeld & Craig at the helm we should be at minimum playing a similar style to the top 4. This year will be like last year, bu I think we will see something develop that will get us to the finals.

PLEASE keep the reports coming, I for one can't get away from work and would die wondering if not for those that do get there... It was however very interesting that 2 people got it so different. JW will be. Fine I think, he is playing a charity game of cricket at Eric Raven reserve in Glen Iris this Sunday along with Hodge, Murphy, and other AFL players. It's been organized by Paul Connors. I can't wait to get down there and see how much bigger in body he is. -
Will be good to see how he goes in the NAB cup... Reserve judgement until then...

I think we should go after gubby Allan or Scott Clayton (gold coast), would have best knowledge on who wants to come home out of all the kids they have taken away from Vic...?

People on this site need to get there head out of there ass. Firstly Trav Tuck was pinned using GHB. Not ice, crack or anything else the above posters clearly know nothing about. If it was buddy or hodge who got sacked you lot would go find your local dealer to get them in the side. If he is good enough he gets on the list, if not he doesn't - simple.

2011 Player Review - # 47 James Strauss
Red&BlueBlood replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Was doiing well, but I think by the time he is ready to go again sammy blrease will have cemented that spot. I would like to see him on a wing putting those kicks into the fwd 50 -
The recent champion teams havent recruited an "elite" mid to win the cup... Collingwood developed Swan, Pendles, Daisy, Wellingham, etc Brisbane developed Black, Voss, Aker, Lappin, etc Geelong developed Ablett, Bartell, Selwood, etc, etc, etc!! I think we have the initial talent to get there - Trenners, Gysberts, Beamer, Bail, Bleae, Grimes, Jones, Jordie, Morton, Tappy... 1 or 2 of them could well develop into an elite mid, and the rest will be very very handy at very least... We'll be fine, we just need to give our boys time.

Missed more than we realised in 2011... Without him Bartram is our "run with" player... Fingers crossed he gets a injury free 2012!

Would take up a sot that blease or someone would normally be in... Has had flahes of brilliance but goes missing in big games.

2011 Player Review - # 35 Luke Tapscott
Red&BlueBlood replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would love to ee Jetta covers Tappy's current role in the bacline so Luke can play of the HFF... Big kick, will be our chappy if given the chance -
IMO is to trade off Jamar to Adelaide after this season while he would still have decent value. SOme may disagree but we have martin, gawn, fitzy, even pencil spencer incase of injuries... In saying that another year like 2010 and he could be a big player in the premiership race for the demons...
