kids will fill the junior void (jordie, Gysberts), but we have more worrying signs with who we have to keep that is out of contract. Moloney, Bail, Blease, Warnock, Watts, Jones Strauss, Bruce, etc, etc Imagine loosing a couple of them!

Junior wanted another year, what harm could it of done? If Bruce was to go to the GC, we have a lack of experience in the team... Hopefully the kids can fill the gaps, I reckon if Jordie wasnt a demon, junior would of got another year.

SRO - Ive already copped an earfull about Sylvia being captain, I for one think he is a good option. Although apparently he was on SEN saying he didnt want the job and just wanted to concentrate on his own game.

I hope jones doesnt got to the GC, he is a gun and is only getting better... Anyone's opinion changed about delistings with this week's team in mind...? Was surprised that MFC said Newton would have been in earlier if not for injury... Makes sense would def be a better option than PJ...

I have heard the Bruce rumour many times in the past, with Junior going i think we need his experience... We got to get Warnock, Jones, Watts, Moloney Bail, Blease & Strauss signed ASAP, thats the best of depth in our list! I spoke to Bail in the rooms a few weeks back and he said he is close to signing, guess he wasnt going to tell me different either way!

Out of interest would everyone who say's Green should be captain have thought the same as last year? Just a question... If we were going the "Tom Harley: option would be iether Garland or Rivers... Rivers does put in heart & soul.... Really my only issue with Green is that he is 29, and will be 30 by the start of next season. This means another captain will need to be chosen in 3 or 4 years. Players that fit into the "right" age bracket are worth a thought: Morton, Grimes, Chip, Pettard, Garland, Jones, Sylvia, Rivers, MOLONEY, and maybe Davey. Moloney is the guy that will probably get the job, right age, right attitude, right sort / type of player... I would be happy with Beamer, and even happier with Grimes as he would be in the job for 10 years+. Who ever it is has big boots to fill. I want us to win this week for junior, and look forward to saying goodbye to a MFC champion against the Roo's next week...

Must say the MFC should hang there head in shame by basically telling junior to move on. He is in our best 22, and wanted another year... surely we could have kept him on! Much love Junior, you have clearly ended up the best of the McDonald brothers, so bragging rights at family BBQ's are yours!!

Mental would be giving the job to a guy that is possibly going to the GC, and got beaten in a 1 on 1 by Jake King! Too many times Cam Bruce (and i love him) lets us down, and for a captain to do that is not on... Imagine James Frawley captain running down Jetta against Sydney.... inspiring... Green is too old, i love him too but we need to hand it to someone that will be with the club for 10 years+

Agreed but he would be a great captain and a amazing on field leader... If we are going with the Tom Harley type model we should pick young Chip Frawley... again hard at it and i think can cope with the extra burden

No go to Green, Flash or Bruce... For Bruce & Green to old, and flash isnt captain material IMO. Only 2 real candidates: Beamer & Sylvia... I for one would pick Sylvia - someone who has had issues off the field and got his game & life back on track - would have an amazing ability to speak from experience to the young blokes and is as hard as anyone at the club.... And is clearly our best player (you may think maloney but Sylvia kicks more goals)... I would be proud to watch Colin lead out the Red & Blue

Someone will and can step up, we have depth. Bartrams disposal kills us, i mean i love the guy and wish others had his heart but either he gets better or we get something out of a trade.

I know im new to this but your joking yeah? Watts will be a champion, no doubt about it. By champion i mean 200 games + , 400 goals + and a B&F. let time tell us who is right i guess...

Bails is also 5 foot shorter than watts. He put on 9kg last year, let's give the kid sOme time he'll come good I'm more interested at what trenners & scully look like! Imagine young scull with a body that can take the bumps on the middle of the pack!!!

Why has no one mentioned TRADING BARTRAM????????? IMO we have many same type players to cover (or players that could develop into)... James Strauss is being developed as a similar type in the VFL, difference is he kicks the ball very well. Before people have a go, lets look at his disposal and try and remember the last time you were not nervous when he had the ball. I will miss his heart, and never give up attitude, but we need a touch of class coming out of the backline.

I got money on Chip making the side!!! Cmon Chipper!!! Harry O is a good pick as is Jack R is second in the coleman & def IMO ahead of Green... Jamar should get in but they never pick 2 ruckman, Lets remember a few years back they picked Pav as full back just to fit him in...

Tommy Mac is a good kid but a muppet of a player, will not be any good at AFL level IMO. He struggles at VFL level and is never spoken highly of in the VFL reviews... I seriously think we could do with Quentin Lynch - Yes laugh away although he could be a target up forward and help Jamar in the ruck... Just a stop gap for a year or 2 while we wait for Watts, Fitzy, Gawn & co to come through
