I may have asked in another threat, but is a Tasmanian a risk given the determination for a Tas team in the near future. Will Gil / Dill formulate rules (on the run of course) that will compel us to give them our best Tasmanian??

Phantom Drafts 2023
Q for experts - do any feel that there may be some degree of reluctance to take Tasmanians “all things being equal” (which of course they never are) given the presumed concessions for the Tasmanian franchise in the next year or two - maybe??

The Joeys chances 🦘
IF, big IF, we were to draft him would the reaction on this site be - great, they will help keep each other happy staying here or - oh no! they will both got home in a year or so? Optomists vs pessimists PS there will of course be the "both are duds - neither won a Coleman or a Brownlow"

Cane Cornes will be telling us all he desperately wants to go home asap. Oh, wait, he isn’t from Adelaide so he probably hasn’t heard of him.

Dwayne Russell's 2024 Top 50
How good would it be if they both “retired” over the off season. BT could try some more confined space welding or amateur electrical work. (Only joking - first sentence excepted)

Goody Saves a Life in Bali
Wait for the next vindictive installment from the usual suspects. ”A besieged Victorian AFL coach jumped off a cliff whilst in hiding from journalists hoping to share important impartial information, on a remote Indonesian island and was fortunate enough to land near a random surfer who rescued him.” 🙄🤔😡🤮 ❤️💙❤️❤️💙

And what position(s) does he play?

Every Team's 2024 Pass Mark
BBP - sounds a bit defeatist. Finish top 2 (or 4) and bugger recent finals history, each season is a new one. Just win the QF and the next two. Easy stuff 🤫

Riv is becoming of my favourites - dash, courage, intent, disposal accuracy as well as distance. (A hell of a long way back but a bit reminiscent of Tony Anderson #11 of the 1964 Premiership team) Yes, if Bowey McVee and maybe Howes continue to develop, and Salo recovers his fitness and form, I could see him as a very damaging midfielder. Quick, evasive hard tackler and booming kick. The only slightly sour point in the interview (made just before the Collingwood QF of course) was his modelling his game on Maynard 😮😮😮. I hope he has changed that little bit.

Goody Saves a Life in Bali
Didn't see any thing on 7 either. Lots of Collingwood coverage of course.

Edi-Asp was also the home of Stan Alves as I recall.

Goody Saves a Life in Bali
But was Nick Riewoldt jumping on top of Joel? I guess that all depends n whether he was going to drown without help or not? Swimming with a dislocated shoulder can be challenging.

Nate Caddy
Interesting. Looking at JVR I would say he plays more like 196-198 cm.
-
Harrison Petty
Maybe Caddy could help him with this?

But can he carry your golf bag and give expert advice on course strategy? And of course rake bunkers for you?

What The List Managers Really Said 2023
Yes but wouldn’t Carlton’s ARC officer be even better? Please, can we have both?

Jack Ginnivan
Willmoy - only one??

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Do any of you experts have reservations about Tasmanians given the imminent inevitable draft concessions and tweaks?
-
Harry DeMattia
Wouldn’t be overawed when he enters the G in front of a big crowd having done that already And interstate clubs would all have to say no as he seems to like his mum. Highlights reels being just that, he looks super quick off the mark and did not miss a target.

Why Melbourne Must Hire a Coach to Solve Their Forward Woes
JV7’s dad, was an awful set shot kick early on but presumably through hard work and persistence was OK at the end of his career. So there is hope as long as we hope and don’t write off.

What's needed in 2024
Surely given all the kerfuffle that is going on in recent days, we need an in depth period of self reflection, and recommitment. Who amongst you is genuinely serious about getting the best out of yourself and from the team as a whole? Not who would like to, but who really wants to? Who is prepared to make sacrifices - personal, recreational, physical - for team success? There seems to be far too much self indulgence at least in some - I probably sound like a cranky old bugger (which I am) but if you are not prepared to go all in full time maybe you should look elsewhere or get another job?

He may have just burst? (Sorry - out of here) 🙄
