I guess many of us saw it coming, none the least Bartram himself. Many thanks for your untiring courageous efforts, but look after your future. I am sure any contribution or presence at our club will always be welcomed.

And your reference to "best available" begs the question : what parameters does one use for best available.Over many years it has obviously eluded not only our (often rightly) maligned recruiters but many at other clubs as well. There is just so much that "scientific" analysis can achieve; one man's meat is another man's poison. Some "fit in" at one club when they may not at another.

Your use of the plural suggests that there are more than one of each - please go out and find them, and get them to pay us a visit! -

The brief to Ray Finkelstein QC: what does it mean for the MFC?

I just love the line about the tapes being switched on and off at will......how about a Royal Commission into the AFL....screw Dimitriou, Misfit, Anderson and the bloody lot of them!! :_) -
No charges laid, no decision and no penalties ahead of draft

...and the alternative, should they come down on us, is.......??? Roll over again and remain their kicking boy? -

...and the bastard continues to hypocritically talk of "integrity". What an oaf. -

Probably - he has been with Wet Coke for a few weeks now, and "something" there seems to work. -

Most likely the AFL - remember Misfit / Davey / Neeld?? The huge unacceptable leak that Mr Andrew D Integrity just brushed aside. But it is stating the bleeding obvious that, were a charge of tanking to be for the first time seriously investigated, and guilt proven beyond reasonable doubt, assuming that an "offence" can be defined, then any penalty, even a one cent penalty, would by necessity be "unprecedented"!!!!! -
I think he will be remembered as a very honest hard worker, who never gave up but whom the pace of the game passed by. Thanks for the memories - and good luck somewhere.

I am sure that Caro is dredging around the bottom of a cesspit somewhere (a place she appears to be well acquainted with by the way) looking for some dirt on him for strategic publication. Maybe he didn't get his homework in on time, or evaded a train fare, or walked across a road against a red light - who knows, she will find it, and the link to CS of course, and make headlines.

....but how did his compare with Kangaroos Gysberts & Daw's which have been in the news lately?
-
Maybe he was concerned, like that other great loyal Demon who couldn't bear the drive to Casey, especially if he couldn't do burnouts on the oval, or was it the tanking.........or maybe the big brown paper bags full of something elsewhere. Still, at least he didn't draw us out too long..

It is great to read a fellow optimist here on this site. The question that should be asked of all the pessimists is: "Why not?" Given the long list of disasters that befell our club in 2012, things must surely look up.....if things all click then, as some foreign guy who has been in the news recently has said, YES WE CAN!!! Unfortunately the Demonland search function doesnt go back to 1953-54, but I am sure going into 1954 the pessimists who endured the depths of 1953 would have said - NO WAY; but Norm Smith said....yes we can. The rest is (sadly distant) history.

I am sure most here would be extraordinarily happy to be totally surprised by these two.Bring it on.

Does she write for the "West Australian"?

Tragic? Jim was tragic. The kids in the car last night was tragic. This is unfortunate or inconvenient, but surely not tragic. ....but we won't be able to keep great guys, even truly loyal ones like Brock on board - too far to travel, even in a V8 ute. :-)))

Dean Bailey tells the AFL he didn't order players to lose
monoccular replied to Alf Stewart's topic in Melbourne Demons
Maybe Caro will next try digging up the ancient history of MFC's incredible jump from big time losers 1953 to Grand Finalists for the next seven years straight!! Surely must have tanked in '53. Maybe she thinks we should have all those Flags stripped from us. (Oh, I guess she won't be interested: CS, the target of her very personal vendetta, wasn't involved). -

.....and blackball CW forever. On the other hand her attack has also been pretty personal against CS, and it could be possible for him personally to seek redress. -

I guess IF 'action is taken against her' she could well roll out the old misogyny card, just as others who find themselves in deep trouble have done recently.......that is an allegation always easy to make and very hard to shake off, even if the so called 'victim' of the 'misogyny" is being attacked for their incompetence and deceit rather than their gender.
