  1. I too was concerned that playing all three forward (and Max going down deep at times too) would mean that they would get in each other’s way, but it was rare to find more than two in F50. Seemed to work well, and Weed certainly gained in confidence as the match went on.
  2. Short memory? Clarrie was BOG or close on debut and for weeks following
  3. Yes, a patch of bad form, but also does regularly make poor decisions.
  4. ???? Are they referring to the most unlikeable player in the AFL, Goddard? I wonder which of his team mates he blamed today? Anyone still think we should have picked Parish over Oliver?? .... or WCE in Perth.
  5. ???. Imagine the outburst here had Oscar done that .
  6. Makes Brent Moloney look a genius.
  7. Hannan and Fritsch and Spargo >> Garlett and Bugg and Kent
  8. Is Goody now a genius? ?
  9. Hannan and Fritsch >> Garlett and Bugg
  10. Let’s not get too far ahead of yourself - win needed first.
  11. Maybe Joey Daniher told him to ?
  12. Fritsch, Hannan??
  13. Amused to hear Parkin referring to Melksham and Hibberd as Essendon rejects Surely refugees or escapees more appropriate
  14. Visy still make very large strong paper bags. ??
  15. As I recall didn’t they do that late last season — dropped due to poor form, didn’t play VFL, then resurrected the following week. Didn’t make much sense at all.
  16. Pity they don’t all shut off from antisocial media and concentrate on the game and nothing else in season. Hope it pays Jake back in spades.
  17. Well hopefully not the same side as his major one last time.
  18. On the contrary, I would be a bit concerned that it will only encourage more mindless bombing into the forward line. On the fairly rare occasions that HBs and mids “lower their eyes” and kick low to a target we actually look like scoring. Maybe the coach and the players don’t realize this ?
  19. Was subtlety intended? How many connected?
  20. Never forget that a Saints MO sutured a contaminated wound on some player’s leg and he was out for an extended period. How about awaiting the facts (should they ever come out) before condemning either the club or the player. (Even with optimal treatment sometimes things don’t turn out well)
  21. We MUST make a statement here ...... an emphatic win, no half hearted efforts. Anything less will mean curtains for this list and possibly the club, which survived the darkest years mainly due to the name, MELBOURNE
  22. Nah. This is entirely Jack's doing. Had JW still been here he would have stopped the dog from biting CP#5. How can any sane person doubt this?
  23. ANB was exciting in his debut year, OK in his second, but abysmally out of touch this season. What has gone wrong? Poor coaching? Poor mentoring? Asked to play a role that he cannot adapt to? ?????? Disappointing. He MUST sort himself out over the next month or so (MFC or Casey) or he will risk delisting / trade (depending upon contract status).
  24. Dog bites can turn out to be a lot more serious than lay folk think. Often need debridement (cleaning out surgically) especially if they involve a joint. No....... obviously Jack Watts Barrie. Maybe he did. Can be very deceptive. Hope he has had a tetanus shot updates. PS FMD!!! PPS: Seriously, does anyone NOT believe in the Norm Smith curse? (Thanks to the late Dr Don Duffy and those on the committee he either lead or failed to lead ).
