  1. I will take another look at it. Who actually knows what the protected zone is in a practical sense? So inconsistently adjudicated. Needs revision and some common sense, which would be very novel on the part of AFL.
  2. I think the correct word is lackadaisical Thesaurus synonyms listed below, though not all actually applied to JL the general gist is there SYNONYMS FOR lackadaisical apathetic halfhearted: laid-back lazy lethargic listless passive abstracted daydreaming disinterested dreamy dull energyless enervated faineant fainéant idle inattentive incurious indolent inert languid languishing languorous limp moony romantic sentimental slothful spiritless spring fever unconcerned
  3. Who will ever know - concussions can ruin a career. Ask KK. Season 1 with CP and his knee the question would have been asked again. Cant be bothered trawling back through the D'land archives but I am sure there was discussion. Still, we have won this one
  4. Can anyone remind me, what is his injury issue?
  5. still one more game to go as far as I know.
  6. Quite a bit od parallax there - would add another 50% = 15 meters. Still, can't expect a maggot to understand that, especially when no doubt instructed to add a bit to reverse kicks in the dying stages of games. I still feel that 'no mark' for backwards kicks would move the game on and stop some of these negative tactics.

If the tackler lies on the ballgetter then surely it is in the back, and more so when a couple more jump on top. Encourage and protect the guy who gets the bloody ball, not the hovering vulture!! Yes, anyone who impedes the flow after a free should be a 50 meter .... far far more logical than those absurd “protected zone” inconsistently applied penalties. And whilst on those rolling 50s .... surely if the recipient bounces the ball on the run to the new mark, it should be play on straight away.
  8. ..... but better than finishing 9th, which gives zero chance of advancing at all ?
  9. Was he calling Dank or Robinson “any growth hormone left?” ? Give him a tick this week - how much did Richo’s knowledge of the Saints players and game help too. The crumbles into half time had me nearly not bothering with the second half but for some reason I stayed.
  10. I had been thinking the same thing. Sure they ran free at times and certainly got too many “easy” clearances and switches, but having their recent coach on our side of the bench surely made a bit of difference ... and there was only a bit of difference.
  11. Interesting too was the centre clearances 2 to 11 Yes, rare for use to be so far behind in inside 50s yet win. Straight kicking early vs Saints missing too many helped set it up.
  12. Under instructions to try to set up results
  13. Some moron commentator ( don’t know his name, don’t care) on ABC radio is talking about the heat and the humidity - currently 17C and 15% humidity. Must have his head somewhere warm and dark.
  14. The back line as a whole did a magnificent job.
  15. Tracc’s magnificent strong man goal was an absolute doozie! Almost goal of the year.
  16. Set up maggots Jumped on Trac’s head = holding the ball Them Marshall takes Mays arm out in the contest - no penalty
  17. Opposition clear far too easily Bloody Membry once again
  18. We get one our way for a change. Sheer strength by Trac
  19. Can’t bear to watch this. Wont pay the Trac mark and still trying to steal his goal
  20. Pickett holding right in front - no free!
  21. Turnovers - could get a role in Masterchef
  22. Could it perhaps be lack of footy brain on the part of our forwards?
  23. What an absolute crap free against Max
  24. I think it was ironic, actually. Goody wouldn’t know the term. And Harmes ain’t playing
