  1. Agree wholeheartedly - the MRP was introduced to scrutinise behind the play thuggery not to second guess what the umpires see. That said, the Rampe highly dangerous tackle off the play must have been seen by the goal umpire who failed big time. And as I have said elsewhere, dumbass Christian seems more interested in cases highlighted by the comenteriate than scrutinising what he should be watching. Just plain laziness on his part.
  2. Christian is able to regularly look very stupid without the assistance of Fritsch. See above. Comments and replays wake Christian from his deep stupor and cause him to look at it. And with no comments and replay (Fritsch behind the play in Tas, Rampe trying to break a neck off the ball) the dumbass doesn’t even look. Incompetence and / or corruption. Plus laziness.
  3. We are indeed fortunate to have someone so strong, and adaptable, with quality defence experience, who was able to cover after last week’s injury, but who can also slot straight back in as a dominant forward. So glad he wasn’t traded out last off season.
  4. The commentators did not go on and on about the Rampe outrage - genuine potential spinal or head injury - nor the Fritsch behind the play hit, so Christian given his limited mental acuity wouldn’t even look at it. He relies on the media to tell him who to cite.
  5. What a patient and diligent analysis - hope Ooze and Goodwin at least read it. Great work. I tend to agree with those who say Jackson is involved with more clearances than Max not because of his tap work but because he is an extra mid. Not sure how this great analytical work will help but I sure hope it is taken on board.
  6. Baffling and worrying. Surely it must be game plan and not only execution.
  7. Reiwoldt 2 kicks, Lynch 3 Look very soft / vulnerable
  8. Tigers absolutely in a state of panic
  9. Bloody whinging Selwood milked yet another free
  10. So he could train with our players and get them used to incessant “I am innocent, ump” sniping??
  11. Bussing Gold Coast to BNE then flying to Cairns arriving an hour before the match certainly killed our season 2020?
  12. Certainly seems too interested in the cases the media highlights and ignores those that the media ignore NB the high, off play hit ON Frittata. Maybe he just lacks the time, and likely the brain, to do the work himself. The media prattled on as soon as Hawkins recklessly, or carelessly, smashed May’s face, that it was accidental, so Christian had an easy out. Thank the Lord that it wasn’t Carlton’s medical report .... they would have been detailing the autopsy findings and the funeral if their past incriminating reports are anything to go by. Christian’s weakness and laziness are just accentuated by these cases. Christian needs to be replaced by someone who watches the whole of every game without hearing the commentary.
  13. Unlike the WA situation where there were local cases there are no local cases in Melbourne. Sure maybe no fans down from Sydney but no (logical) reason to have no fans attend.
  14. Just bamboozled at the composure, and work rate of this young excitement machine - the “fiercely driven moment” on the MFC website featured (I think) our 10th (or 11th) goal with a triple involvement of Kossie starting on the wing, gather, handball, handball receive then a 100 meter dash to clean up a spoiled mark by BBB. Just amazing stuff for anyone, let alone a second year player. Is it in the goal of the week lineup? I guess more likely some freak fluke dribble from the boundary.?
  15. Perhaps not if knee-jerk Marshall keeps Optus Stadium fan free. ?
  16. Well really very obvious. Foxtel commentators didn’t see it as part of their agenda of the day, so not only hardly mentioned it when it happened, but didn’t harp on it over and over again, with multiple replays etc.
  17. I personally think he plays like Luke Jackson - and others will try, in vain, to emulate him.
  18. Agree. The media harped on and on about it, and totally ignored the off-ball hit on Fritsch which was far more premeditated and also high. Really set him up for the rather dim witted Christian to pounce. He could really hardly say no. And no mention at all of Bailey’s clean record either.
  19. Not even a “heat of the moment” pseudo excuse from someone who should know a lot better.
  20. This attack, off the ball, was never mentioned or highlighted, and certainly not replayed by Fox. Yes, there is an agenda. Had Fox not repeatedly replayed the “Frisch incident” (as giver not the one as receiver) this may not have gone further. That is not new - the Selwood duck has been around for years.
  21. P2J - you are bringing out the pedant in me. Can there be degrees of uniqueness? Given that unique means one of a kind? ?
  22. Really the only embarrassing record that matters is 57+ years without a flag. And 61 years since back to back, and 66 years since a “threepeat”
  23. IMVHO Luke going on the ball was the game changer. Well deserved.
  24. We could all see this coming and we all know the reasons. Inconsistency (to put it kindly) or corruption at the highest levels? One rule for Dangerfield (and Hawkins) and yet another for MFC. That is what irks many.
