  1. I would call it smart and fast reading of the situation ...... I canโ€™t mark it, if I go for it and crash the Tiger front on it will be a free .... wait for it to bounce .... if opposition get it tackle hard and fast (which he did) I might add with the opponent now running at pace (no squibbing there) .... and it may bounce over or past him leading to opportunity to grab and run into goal. Intelligent, not weak. Also intelligent corralling the guy who was pinged for deliberate out of bounds* rather than tackling which would probably have resulted in a stoppage, not a shot on goal. * one of several horrible deliberate OOB decisions IMO - 2 against us and at least 1 for us. Maggots have no feel for the game.
  2. 7 news said something along the lines that Melksham โœ”๏ธ, and Jones ???, would be playing for Casey.
  3. ? We now are developing into to selfless team. Where would you play him anyway?
  4. Rivers still has a full tank I suspect.
  5. Quite achievers are good, as are quiet ones.
  6. Some other suckers to play down there .... maybe Collingwood or Essendon.
  7. This year he has come into his own with the whole โ€œplaying as a teamโ€ commitment. IMVHO he has always done the team thing first and foremost; now it gels more with the entire list joining in. PS looking forward to seeing the clip of where he (allegedly) squibbed the contest when the accusers post it. (Even the time will do as I watch the replay yet again.)
  8. Maybe had that fiercely driven moments clip been circulated on the night of the game Hibbo would have got a lot more votes. Certainly his nullification of Martin helped a long way in our getting on top.
  9. At least one aspect of the Sandringham / MFC alignment worked out ok though ... I well remember standing behind the Sandringham interchange on the bay side of Trevor Barker Oval and seeing this young guy named Nathan Jones raring to go. Prophetically, I thought this guy needs to get a game in the red and blue. Could be okay .... the rest, as they say, is history.
  10. It used to happen every week but now, by and large, addressed Lynch looks to me like a scared schoolyard bully 4 in the top 10 only emphasises the evenness of our team efforts. Is there a link to that video?
  11. How old is he? Would he want to play at a higher level, starting with VFL? Remember, Bailey came from nowhere.
  12. Maybe, sometime ... but not more than one (or maybe two) unforced changes at once.
  13. And of course he would arrange a flight, via Perth and Darwin, in a Dash8, that arrives just minutes before the bounce. ??
  14. I was watching that too from down the ground. Held, pushed, and still the little guy persisted. Should have been a free seconds earlier, and should have been a 50 when the Tigers carried on with it. Would have defused it much better as it looked like it was getting out of hand. Our guys flew the flag which was great, but unfortunately sometimes in these situations someone gets rash and reported. Poor umpiring not to defuse it earlier.
  15. But we havenโ€™t beaten anyone above us ? Only the last three grand finalists !!!!! ???
  16. Cool hand Luke. Finally held his marks and kicked some goals. Oozing class. Amazing game tonight and so much to look forward to as he grown further in stature and confidence. And Max must love him as a mobile jumping back up. A great tandem.
  17. BBB for probably Melksham unless there are injuries
  18. I was fearing that might occur and we get shafted again and lose momentum. Last years stuff up whilst not any excuse, didnโ€™t help the cause with having to squeeze games in to a tighter time frame.
  19. Hopefully BBB will debut for us then and kick 10 goals.
  20. They have only beaten teams below them ?
  21. Scrappy sort of game though ..... maybe the Canberra swamp has this effect?
  22. ? - do you know if their plan includes changing the size and shape of their ground?
  23. As long as equality means equality of opportunity, and is not demanding equality of outcome, then that is fine. Some of the hard left of the US Democrats seem to be confusing the two, demanding that everyone is equal regardless of talent and of effort. That leads down a very dangerous path. I hope that Kate is the best person for the job, and it sounds as if she probably is. If that is the case I donโ€™t care if she is M F L G T B I or anything else but first and foremost MFC!
  24. Rust .... are you suggesting that we relocate to Barnawartha? Would upset more than a few. ?? I think that is an issue - trace, king from maybe the inner city to Casey mid winter especially is most unattractive. And of course Chri$$$$ Judd used this as at least one of his excuses for not choosing melbourne. dpositive - are you a government spin writer? Reasonable road access from southern and bayside areas but almost no public transport. Somewhat akin to Dingley I guess. Not as remote as Casey but perhaps worryingly close to Seaford.
  25. Is this just two much pedantasism, or even prehaps pedantry???
