I have really been very pleasantly surprised with Harry since stepping into Tomlinson’s big shoes. When Thommo gets back in 2022, especially if BBB or Weed don’t click, he would be a worthy option up forward, but to those who suggest he go forward now, why upset our greatest strength, our back line? We managed to scrounge a win tonight without a forward line thanks to magnificent disciplined team defence.

Am I missing something? Isn't Sam out of contract at the end of the year and if so can't he just walk as an uncontracted player, should he choose to do so? I remember in years gone by discussing the need for a sports psychologist. Do we have one at the club, or access to an independent one? Meanwhile, Casey who have played (and won) 5 games, together with Collingwood (3/5), Sandringham (2/5), sydney (2/7) sat out byes, and Southport (⅞) sit atop the VFL ?. Why in any reasonable competition should 3 clubs who have played only 5 out of a possible 8 games all have byes? Ridiculous “support” league.

Didn't Ross Lyon try that with Free a few years ago (and also at Geelong) - and it didn't work out at all well for them. As I recall it was the stimulus / knee jerk reaction to introduce the prefinals bye. Which in turn has slightly reduced the advantage of finishing top 4 vs 5-8.

If we beat everyone below us for the rest of the year the premiership will be a cakewalk. The other games won’t matter one iota.
