I loved all his touches at the weekend but particularly his third goal - absolutely classical small forward crumbing, which we have so sorely lacked: seeing the high ball coming in, evading his opponent, snapping up the expected spill from the pack .... BANG!!!❤️❤️
.... and Frosty to win it in the dying seconds, in one of his gazelle goal kicking moments running off Hawkins (left appealing for a non existent free) who then pretends to chase him and does a hamstring.
It seems that the players are prepared to back and show confidence in each other, and make second, third and fourth efforts (Kosi in particular).
Improved kicking for goal however remains elusive.
Need to learn to cope.
After all to be at the top you need to beat those below.
A bit like saying the team that finishes top has had an easier draw, because they only play teams below then, whilst the 18th only play teams above them ?
Ain’t hindsight a wonderful thing.
Remind me, how many clubs passed over multiple times on James Hird and Chris Grant???
As I recall maybe 4 or 5 times each?
So true — even pre COVID it was second rate, with shorter season plus byes, but now it lets down the emerging and returning players big time.
Haven’t been able to see the Saints game yet, but by several accounts Jackson’s run in the ruck was very important in turning the tide around.
AFL under Gil and SHocking only seem interested in the 'elite' grade .... however, supporting at very least the 'seconds' is surely an integral part of maintaining quality at the top level.
What a joke the AFL administration (or maladministration) have become.
Make up rules on the run, then allow a favourite to play whilst suspended. (Remind me, what is SHockings team affiliation?)
High farce.
