  1. Hope he has a crap game Monday, but it will give us a chance to asses him. Not quite sure where he would fit in at the moment. Like everyone, if the price is right, worthy of consideration.
  2. Shane was a HBF but ND pulled a swiftly, I think at Western Oval in the 2000 preseason as a midfielder. No idea about Taj, (other than it being a great surprise word in Word or Scrabble) but not doubt JT will make the right call one way or the other.
  3. Alternatively, push hard right now. But the fact that MB seems ahead of BB says something.
  4. ^^ Last two posters seem. to be looking already for a new whipping boy.
  5. No doubt Joe has talent, but OMG he can be such an absolute buffoon. I remember when he played for Essendon vs Melbourne April or May 2017 - we had an unexpected win and he kicked a huge bag of behinds and just carried on like a demented clown. After that whenever there were calls for us to trade him in I thought, never forget that day. And there have been others too.
  6. Magpie fans deepest thoughts on Machiavelli - do you want fries with that?
  7. My word from semi inside Hawks is that they are resigned to the fact that Clarko is iff to the Filth next season.
  8.
and that racism is a two way street.
  9. Now, even more a danger game with the resignation of Buckley. They will no doubt “rally for Bucks” so we need to be right on our game.
  10. And Brayshaw must be close to the second best true winger. ???
  11. As long as at least four of them are GFs I won’t worry too much.
  12. Interesting analysis, but what does it really mean?
  13. Isn’t that the definition of hypothesis?
  14. Surely the betting odds are also hypotheticals, (and based on what offers the betting behemoths greatest profit).
  15. Every game is a danger game - strangely, I thought that in the Adelaide game even when we got 15 or so points ahead. Just didn't look focussed, or maybe better said, not organised. I wondered even if there was some bug (not Covid of course !) going around.
  16. Interestingly for the first time in memory I felt quietly confident at half time that these guys would turn it around
.. was expecting a scrape across the line victory though, not the amazing turnaround we saw.
  17. I am sure he does, or Melk has some photos ?? Turner probably hasn’t even met all of the team - no way he will walk into an established stable back 6. Weed back would be more likely, though if Lever isn’t up to it maybe Majak?
  18. Cant dispute the coach's opinion, because that is all it is, but IMO a great first half in a losing team is not nearly as valuable as a great second half in a winning team.
  19. As I recall in his 'breakout game' final v Geelong, it was up the field on the flank and wing where he excelled. Thoughtful statistical analysis - but are the stats real or wished for?
  20. One of the things that these troglodytes seem to live is the elbow to the back of the head in a marking contest -“wow, that was tough”. I wonder if they ever reflect on their late workmate, Danny, whose battle with recurrent head traumas cost him his life. Kossie has been “guilty” of unselfishness though a bit less so recently. I think it may have been mentioned - but the media drool over the “baby bombers” when our top of the table list is younger. Daniher I think has very limited “footy intelligence” (if that isn’t an oxymoron.). Does some really dumb things from time to time.
  21. Only watched the last quarter and I heartily agree with you. ....and also how well our backline negated the Footscray forwards.
  22. Are there crowd number restrictions at SCG or is that all up there who have any interest? IF crowd number restrictions then why crowd those in the one spot?
  23. First reaction - YES. BUT - will depend to a degree on just how long he is out, what training skill and team activities he has been / will be able to partake in before he is deemed fit to play, and whether the absolute dogs dinner of of “seconds” competition is back, and if so, does Casey have a bye? If it gets to 6-8 weeks, and a Casey game is available, I would be inclined to run his first outing as a 50-70% time there.
  24. Just amazing vision, and precision.
  25. But one doesn’t experiment, mid season, with the meanest tightest back line in the competition. Maybe early next preseason, if all the same folk are involved (plus Tomlinson).
