2022 Injury List
So now Mitch Brown IS concussion ….. I wonder what caused that? Nothing from the VFL judiciary? We’re there low flying seagulls, or maybe martians there?

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
AFL have sure scheduled a couple of doozie blockbusters for Good Friday. Well done.

TEAMS: Rd 05 vs GWS
Was reported on 7 news - and I agree that not having Tommo as an emergency would be strange if this were a real concern. Unless Petty is to be his direct replacement. With Smith as next in line, or maybe even medical substitute?

Training Ground?
Augusta National is said to have heaters under the greens. Maybe our state government would contribute to setting up and running it. Would only be a few million dollars I imagine. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
But …. it is “traditional” …. after what, 4 years 🤦♂️ Maybe they will head off to Tassie and save us all the absurdity and inequity of a bye every week.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Not being a biblical scholar in any way, but I strongly suspect that there are fewer grey areas than in the Australian Rules official rule book.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
sue - that runs off the tongue in an almost Shakesperian way.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
….”giving up 90 points in modern day AFL footy.” Many teams do. Our defence is our greatest strength and will only be better with the return of Petty, and when ready, Salem.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Just narrow enough margin to keep us on top as of today.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Maggots really trying to get the Pies back. Spoil across the line = deliberate. OMG. Now a gimme goal to Blind Freddie 😎 - sorry he couldn’t see straight and missed.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Was that 50 meter gift goal for talking back? Suddenly reintroduced it after ignoring it ever since gifting Carlton the practice match (not that the result really mattered).

TEAMS: Rd 05 vs GWS
We often dominate the hit outs but don’t convert to clearances. If we converted the majority we would be just about unbeatable ( like late 3 rd and early 4th Q 2021 GF).

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Moore did a 720 degree then threw it - play on Certainly not getting cleverer as he ages. WTF with these 🕶 at night? Does he have a guide dog and a white cane? Maybe he will plead not guilty as he didn’t see him - just like his own marking attempt.

CASEY: Rd 04 vs Coburg
Better get used to byes - Gillian seems determined to inflict this further inequity as his parting gesture. 😡😡

Training Ground?
empire games 🤗🤗🤗🙄🙄

Gil McLachlan Stepping Down
To me big negatives include - statue on mark rule, with 50 meter penalty - the rolling 50 meter penalty - just causes confusion - nominated ruck - just ball it up and if the teams can't work out who goes up for them, then ping them - and the worst, any prospect at all of having an uneven number of clubs. IF TAS is viable then have the courage to relocate North (or Saints or Hawks) . The schedule (quaintly referred to a the draw) is unfair enough already - having some teams with an extra bye especially in round 1 or 2, or 22 or 23, with the prefianls bye is just grossly inequitable. Cannot be made remotely fair.

CHANGES: Rd 05 vs GWS
... and #50 has shown, that bad things can happen to "too good" players at VFL.

2022 Match Review Panel
If the AFL are serious about concussion and future costly liabilities, they'll suspend players for any intentional bump that causes a head knock. Every week there are accidental clashes. As I may have mentioned elsewhere, if they are serious they will penalise those who intentionally or recklessly drive their head blindly into opponents legs and torsos, or deliberately draw head high contact, instead of rewarding them.
