I thought, considering he has not been a ruckman, he did a pretty good job against a much taller and heavier regular ruck. Got a few whiteouts, a few tackles. Sadly his marking still isn't up to scratch but he wasn't outworked, usually halving the aerial contests. Just wish we were given some idea about Jackson - ready, a few weeks, already moved to Perth???

Sounds like Max is a certainty. If so I would bring him in for Mitch Brown despite his two goals. Still very little is known about Jackson's injury. Is there any inside information (as opposed to hopefully speculation) as to his injury and his prognosis? Obviously if he is ready he will come straight back in. Barring any unexpected injuries I would consider leaving out Ben Brown rather than Weed, who despite being outclassed by a superior experienced ruckman worked hard and applied pressure. Sounds as if Chandler had a great game at Casey - is Bedford in jeopardy?

Mac Andrew looked a year or two, at least, off AFL ready in last weekend’s VFL game. Just wondering if by giving JVR some ruck time last weekend they had some sort of inkling that our two top rucks may be just a bit suspect as the season progresses.

I usually switch off the game at the end but tonight I have left it on without the sound. Does anyone ever leave the sound on when that demented disorientated walrus wanders around the rooms with a microphone - looks like a long lost uncle who nobody cares about but "had to get an invitation" at a wedding. Garbage.

Now a definite chance to build a two game gap (plus %) to 3rd place. And then next week a classic 8 point game hopefully with our two preferred rucks back and rested.
