  1. Yes, it would be great to see Kozzie and Bedford plying together, of course, but under the current regime I don't think anyone gets a rest, or wants one in case they can't fight their way back in. IMVHO it would have to be Melksham (who I believe must know that he is now a back up depth player), and Dunstan probably as medisub. Percentage? 😱🤗 I was far less disciplined than you - started when Fritter, or maybe when ANB nailed that goal. 🥲
  2. And doesn't he convey it to his teammates too (in a non demeaning way).
  3. Given the overall history of navicular fractures going badly, wouldn’t it be sensible to maybe write off the season and give him (Howes) every chance to make the best recovery possible?
  4. Yes .... better now than in a a final for the first time. I have trust in our brains trust and in Langdon to work this out - probably at least partly by running out the tagger.
  5. Salem is our best deliverer out of defence, by a mile, and also his footy smarts and game awareness is just so pivotal - can't come back soon enough into this role. Rivers, maybe, and Bowey are at some stage options for a wing / midfield role, but let that be worked on off season.
  6. Maybe, had Weeds been a more "assertive" or confident sort of character, he would have called for Tom to leave it? It was really up to him, with a wider view of the whole situation, to make such a call.
  7. conflicts and gaming - just what the AFL seem to thrive in.
  8. Rosman is listed as 194cm, 84 Kim - but I don't know if that has been updated since his draft day. Does he look bigger than that?
  9. Sorry I may have missed a reply, but do we actually know if the players in question were positive swabs, symptomatic, or just close contacts? Will make one hell of a difference in return to duty planning
  10. Why don't people check the facts? They assume that because Alice is in the NT it has the same climate as Darwin (and Cairns). Alice is generally very dry, and the nights are cool / cold in mid winter. Dew more likely to be an issue than rain / hot humidity.
  11. But Malthouse says they will be premiers. Maybe he is actually some other sort of …..house.
  12. RedBlueandTrue - nailed it. System and structure was (unsurprisingly) way off. Looked very disorganized. Hopefully return of some key personnel will steady the ship.
  13. Again, do we know which players were positive and which were “protocolled” as close contacts? Really makes a huge difference.
  14. Too true. If we have two, or three, decent capable forwards, then please spread and at least one lead, drawing their opponent; preferably a split lead. All flying together only feeds the defenders other than in the unusual case of one of ours clutching a big pack mark. PS unless this is a tactic keeping the split leads up our sleeve for big September games?
  15. MAX (BOG) BRAYSHAW BOWEY PETRACCA OLIVER VINEY
  16. Depends if they are “protocoled” as positives or as close contacts. Close contacts could benefit from rest; positives are more than likely going to have some degree of fatigue, at least.
  17. Haven’t you caught up with the game in Cairns yet? Saints looked pretty ordinary, and may be stuffed physically and mentally. PS what was Smith’s injury?
  18. I only saw the last few minutes of the Saints Port game in Cairns. Just awful skills - presumably contributed to by humidity and heat? Maybe helps explain (if not excuse) our awful showings there and after in 2020? Anyway, Saints will need the full week to recover it would appear. And then maybe not quite. Rather like some of our flat lining after Darwin games.
  19. Are mad Maggots will be disappointed ( unless Sportsbet offers them under 1 goal. Selwoods late duck and shonky deliberates failed to get them Over the line
  20. Just watched a few minutes - those deliberates against Freo were absurd. And apparently Tourette’s is allowed to dissent and soread his arms with impunity. Gutless umpiring. EDIT SOELLCHECK. TOUHEY
  21. Has the AFL drug testing regimen changed / tightened?
  22. Has the AFL drug testing regimen changed / tightened?
  23. Yes ..... and yes!
  24. I seem to remember hearing that we preferred to attack the pockets rather than centrally to force boundary stoppages in the event of us not taking possession rather than turning over and allowing oppositions to clear. Assists, and pressure acts, if that is what is asked of him (his role) more important than goals
  25. How about 187?
