  1. Toumps latest tweet I am so excited though to start fresh at the @PAFC! A club that is based around hard work. It's a journey I can't wait to begin! Not so sure about what he means..
  2. Lots of talk (Roos,PJ,Hogan) about us recruiting competitive animals. We need enough skill, but we must have competitors. Looking at the intensity today (sun), some of ours are miles off
  3. In the interview (paraphrasing a bit, was listening in the car): "We want blokes who are really competitive... <something about talent> ... and you can see it in the eyes of the young guys - they just want to win. We've made a few mistakes in the past" I just wonder (not wanting to throw fuel on fires) if he was talking about some of his teammates with talent but not the burning desire... If anyone has a link to his interview after the award, that would be great
  4. Love it. Great post. We need a bit of raw place... Disappointed to see Treloar go to the pies, but I've got faith in the recruiting boys
  5. THIS! moves over the ground much more smoothly, and not as pronounced, but yep!
  6. At least we know it terminates... And we need to distinguish between consistent and complete! In life terms, if rather the latter...
  7. We don't look like a team of stick figures running around - (as in Morton, Gysberts etc). We are at last hard enough - and we had a team full of goers, with <enough> ability to get us over the line. If we drop of in hardness (cf Watts) or ability (cf McKenzie, Bail etc) we lose and lose badly. I think we have about 25 (yesterday + ANB/Forst/Kent/) or 27 (Petracca/Trengove) who will form the nucleus of a good team. Pederson probably get in too. Dawes/The Prince maybe. At last.
  8. I think he was dropped because the selection team thought we had a better chance of winning by replacing him with some one who would play better. They were right. I don't know where he will fit in. If you look at those who will come in at the start of next year (Kent, AVB, maybe Petracca), two or three from Sunday will have to give way. I van't see Watts getting in front of the ins, and I reckon all of Sunday's are ahead of him. Maybe JKH....
  9. The only stat were losing is rebound 50s, 17 to 27. If we could deliver into the forward line were would be way ahead I like this line up. No Watts=less skill, but no one pointing and no soft tackles. Better.
  10. Winning clearances, horrors to advantage, time in possession... It will be all about our skill level.
  11. I tell you, it's all about appalling skill level. The endevour is there, they just can't hit targets
  12. About 10 people here. But nice to have the son and heir and the better half here after a pretty decent yum cha.
  13. Watching WC tonight - can't argue with any of that. Nic Nat wouldn'ta have stayed, but he's a much better <footballer> than Watts at AFL level. Never thought I'd say that.
  14. Nic Nat having a fair game. Goals, marks, running, bouncing, killer ruck work. I reckon that debate is well and truly resolved... (see "Watt's going on" thread) Edit to correct Watt's thread title
  15. Can't find anything from the club. Any media about this?
  16. I reckon Watts has started on the bench for the last couple of weeks too. Don't know what to make of it
  17. My memory is that Sidebottom spoiled on the line... Bail couldn't work out whether to go for goal or kick to Ricky... ended up doing neither...
  18. Stretch swearing at the end of the quarter. Like it. Cares
