He gave his opinion as a fact. Jvr wasnt looiing at the ball. Thats incorrect on the evidence. Powell should have played a dead bat rather than look uninformed /stupid.

JVR will be a premiership player years before if ever Powell will be. Simply listen to Whately this morning and his opinion, then just wheel that out at the upcoming appeal. Succinctly put by Gerard. This is a point of law issue so has grounds.

When i saw we had Adrian Anderson on board I thought great the dees are throwing everything at this appeal. Good to see. JVR has covered himself in glory with his responses tonight. Well done young man.

Dunstall is like kane Cornes and has invented himself as a peronality for the objective of getting a media gig. In Kane's case its all about being controversial and attracting clicks as his KPI. Dunstall has become literally a cartoon cariacature. Bogans like it - I don't ( although I am part bogan). The Club will fly the flag as they should and we just have to see what happens, but at least we have given it a shot.
  5. That very last high ball needed someone to stand under it dropping and mark to save the day. Viney of course.

I think Lachie Neale would agree with you. One new finals team must drop out of the 8 next week to maintain the usual historical positon of new finalists after Round 9. Saints, Crows and Port deserve a shot this year and look like being well coached to get there. Carlton the one to miss this year I suspect. Fallout will be fascinating.
  7. Clubhouse clear leader for post of the day so far. Many thanks for this. very sensible public comment by Jack also.
  8. Absolutely Pickett. This coach needs to respect others to earn it himself. No. of Flags doesn't make him necessarily a kind human being. Just a great coach with an A Grade list. Ox beat an additcion and 2 knee reco's to become a lion of our club. Glass jaw big time. Its how you behave when things aren't going great that's someone's measure (IMO). But he's got a few mates in this regard.
  9. Dermie today said Dees are his flag favourites because we have best hardest midfield. And the talent now that can't get a game being a major inidicator.
  10. there may be a Colonel of truth in what you hint at here.
  11. Nice one. You may be closer to the truth than it might seem. I reckon lessons from last year have been learned and the team will motor along nicely , some losses being inevitable, but commentators around mid- late August will be remarking about the Dees being the team you don't want to meet in Week 1 of the finals.
  12. You said it. Talk about clickbait. Kane's mastered the process and its now pretty easy to identify. Talk to the hand Kane.
  13. So true. That's what I'll be reading about in tomorrows papers. Sitting in the stands on Saturday night we were refelcting on how blessed we now our to turn up each week and watch the talent before our eyes and the passison within the team/fans/club....etc. Thanks MFC. Thanks Kysiah and friends(trac, max, Oliver...........)
  14. Nice one!. Did this website risk meltdown this morning Demonland?
  15. Couldn't agree more.

Maynard is just another would be thug that takes cheap shots at undefended players. Cue the ed langdon pile on. Just the se I'm in full agreement on pies winning. It ensure a melb basef team in top 4 and loweres the chances of interstate travel in week 1 of finals. And at least pies fans turn up unlike the phantoms comprising tiger membership.
  17. Jason Taylor said in the netflix draft show that Schache was needed as our emergency ruck should Max/Brody go down as we had no-one else. I was really hopeful for Josh to show something on Saturady night but gee he reminded me of Weid in some ways. Should be given a chance though if it arises, but not best 22. Loved James Jordan's inputs and he should remain. Not a winger. That's now covered .

A disappointing 26,000 at a Friday night game whilst top of the ladder. I'm now expecting Caro's outrage against the saints faithful on Monday. 6 saints goals after 1/4 time. Welcome back Ross.
  19. Absolutely HDM - then look at management of key talent after bye. This next block of games could see us at 2nd spot after Round 10. Then worry about finals preparation longer term into the season.
  20. Lever said in an interview yesterday that the team was"running on the spot" in the finals last year and had learnt from this. Maybe its too early to rest? There must be some modelling on this that they are working with.
  21. Another wag on here suggested Bailey could probably slot them from there anyway.
  22. 24 disposals and a goal in the Grand Final. Kept us in it in 2nd quarter. BUT.... like everyone else, did at least one magnificent act during the game - which was attracting 4 defenders to him afater receiving Luke's pass while cleverly slotting the ball to Tom Sparrow at the start of the last who was as a result in the clear. (TMAcs greatest ever Dees shepherd in the 3rd for Sparrow's goal was another) BBB kicks the goal to allow us to relax. Wonderful to see him remain on Board. 27 possessions , 6 Inside 50's and 5 tackles in the important first final against the Lions another highlight contribution.
  23. This weeks entry from those jokesters at the Dees Match Cttee. Bailey Fritsch at centre half back.
  24. I lost confidence in this award when Fagan gamed the voting last year in final round to get Neale over the line. Happy for a dees player to win it but zero sleep lost now for me. 4 points. Losers please themselves. Will be fascinating to watch Daicos in real life in june.
  25. He cemented his demon status in that episode. he gave the tigers player a lenghty lecture, not simple pushing and shoving. The team will see this in reveiw and/or Goody will highlight it as a sensible was to fly the falg. JVR will appreciate it also as he was walking back to take the kick and missed the excitement. Nice on Brody. Jack's got some more support now.
