I don't put a lot of stock in this idea that we are not fit enough. Most games are over at quarter time not lost in the last 20 minutes. The more plausible reason IMO is we are simply not skilled enough to beat our opponents. .

I honestly believe we should not have one in 2014. Over the last seven years we have talked the talk but have been miserable at walking the walk. in 2014 lets achieve something that we can shout about in 2015

Noticed an article in todays Hun on Mr Garlett. Said that Port had arranged a meeting for Sunday morning to discuss 2014. However he did not meet them appearently not well according to a Swans spokes person. Hmm not well on sunday morning! Think we need to avoid this guy. Seems very high maitiance to me

There is one big difference between us and Port LDC The LIST Port had a reasonable list in 2012. We have a shocker.

Not in a pink fit dees 2014. I expect a small amount of improvement in 2014. IMO we have approx 12 AFL standard players if we added 8 good players during the off season we would still not have Game changer. And still another ten good players short Now a game changer might appear from the kids we recruit this year but in reality they will take time. 2014 is the first year in another rebuild from a very low base. If we have a lot of luck we might win 5 -6 games that is a long way from eighth place.

Firstly Crawf Can I have my heart attack on the sunday I would like a few hours of celebration mate! Second the problem is not that I entend to go anytime soon it is more about the length of the journey that the MFC will need to make. IMO our list is such that it is going to take a decade to get to a GF if all things go well. In my view very few of the current list are capable of AFL standard football and the majority of the ones that are will be too old by 2024. We are currently in the position of a new team joining the AFL in 2014. A long journey awaits.

I have said for a long time bb that being able to play football does not make you a rocket scientist. Perhaps Hird banned it !

We current have one genuine midfielder and two kids that show potential. The others are either half forwards / half backs The rest are VFL standard on their good days. We need to recruit a minium of 6 midfielders of which half are experienced over the next two years. Having achieved that we will have a chance of matching the bottom 10 sides.
