  1. He has not played a game yet. He might be a total bust!
  2. IMO that day has gone Redleg. The best we can hope for is to stop / catch as many as possible. The financial rewards are such now that people will attempt to gain advantage from Drugs and there will be plenty who will aid them for the same reasons. The genie is out of the bottle.
  3. Interesting DeeZee if Viney was not the son of a legend would we giving him a free pass at present. He seems to be without criticism at present. I wonder if his seeming lack of fear is going to cost him dearly in the injury stakes. There is a difference between being tough and being fool hardy and getting injured too often. If ever a player should be eased into AFL level it is him IMO. Without some help he will end up battered to death before he is 21.
  4. 100% agreement from me and yes we may yet get it in the neck. I will of course be very annoyed if we lose because there is evidence and the EFC get off because of a lack of it.
  5. Sorry so all this time it is the fault of us idiots who just pay their membership every year! Some things I can easily believe. That is not one of them.
  6. Sounds like two wheels are not for you PSD. I have had the door opening one and a few others but fortunately nothing more than a bit of lost skin and an episode with shock. Never had shock before or since thank God. Now Shock is a strange thing I actually thought I was dying it hit me 30 minutes after a mishap of leaving the bike.
  7. That says it perfectly Redleg. I guess it is just the way of the world but it seems like the MFC are carrying more than their share of tragedy in recent times.
  8. I am not exactly in love with him either jackaub. By suggesting two years I was thinking it would take that long. However if he spends the next two years at Casey he will be out of contract. Would he be offered another? I doubt it.
  9. Umm he has had that at North, Werribee and now at the MFC and Casey. Looks good at VFL level. but seriously under the standard for AFL.
  10. I was given a large number alternative reasons and treatments but in the end the Orthopedic surgeon said I can improve it but if you keep up this type of exercise it will return in a few months. Save your money and do something else. In the end dee-luded the fix was to stop doing the thing that created the problem. That sounds like Dawes and Clark to me.
  11. I understand where you are coming from and agree with much of this however one item concerns me. We are in deep trouble on our forward line if we think that Pedersen can help with anything. I know there are probably no alternatives but Pedersen!
  12. A number of years ago dee-luded I was doing a lot of swimming and developed problems with my left shoulder. After much treatment and changing technique I ended up at a specialist who said to me " your body is trying to tell you something, find another sport to keep fit" So I took up cycling. Funny but my shoulder is ok now. I suspect that Clark is now the victim of soft tissue problems that will plague him the rest of his Football career if he still has one. I also suspect Dawes is in a similar boat. I don't expect much from either of them in 2014 or beyond.
  13. Your theory holds a lot of water dee-luded but one line tickled my fancy. They probably won't hit the ground till late July so that should not be too hard to achieve you would think.
  14. Spot on WJ.I am depressed that already this thread is giving me more joy than any other and the first game has not even been played.
  15. You have my vote dc This is one area where the media actually give us more accurate info.
  16. Obviously I missed those games Bossdog. Yes it is but what else can we all do. We don't have the luxury of going to winning games then watching future good players play in VFL.
  17. I think the dog was in a way better spot than the MFC in 2013 hardtack. Forgetting the MFC the story was bringing a little mist to my eyes.
  18. Sounds like a season at Casey to me.
  19. Roos is the coach for minimum of the next two years probably three. If we are not respectable by then and capable of being coached by someone else then we are domed. The next 2 -3 years is make or break time for the MFC. If by 2017 we cannot succeed without Paul Roos it is curtains.
  20. I do agree with this D26. The problem at the MFC for the last four years has been that the CS / DB regime denuded the club of experienced senior players. We have been rushing in kids to fill the gaps every since and surprise surprise a lot of them are not capable of taking up the slack. Now Roos has bought in some experience, average quality but much better than what we had. This is still a work in progress that I am confident he will add to at the end of this year. I pray this will at least make us competitive over the next couple of years so the kids can be developed.
  21. I agree wmth they have not exactly turned into world beaters since he was flung. He also managed to Tank for two years and got away with it Scott free. Seems he is multi skilled.
