Farewell Jesse Hogan
He is playing in the centre as I understand it. He is a good player who has some off field issues, because we traded him does not instantly make him a spud. A year ago you were cheering him.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
There is a simple fact Freo have won games without Hogan scoring and they sit way in front of us. Early days but Freo 1 Dees nil.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
He is an X player we are allowed to talk about him, while I agree he was far from perfect, he would be better than anyone we have in the forward line this year.

Mystery injury?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
One might say we have perfected that one BB, top of the ladder.

Changes vs Swans R4
There lies the big problem, you want two out but have no one to put in their place. The simple fact is that in early April we have so many injuries that the cupboard is bare. There will be minimal changes.

Changes vs Swans R4
Chicken is fairly soft and won't break the screen. However a stubbie would be devastating.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
80% will not get you on the field in 2019. Still think he will struggle this year like the team in general. No team has ever come back from bottom after three games to make a GF let alone win one. Think 2020.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Sadly I think that is accurate.

Opposition Watch: Rd 4 vs Sydney
On a good day it holds 20k, facilities ordinary and no Swans signage . And in the end the afl could not care less.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I said right now! May is weeks off returning and then he has to develop. Best from him won't be till next year with a proper pre season behind him.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
You might be a little premature, what was that his first or second game. A talent that produces 50 goals in a season does not vanish. Right now I would swap him for May in a heart beat.

Japanese Whiskies have a very good reputation RN. Don't know that one but will try and check it out on my next visit to DM.

Injury List - Season 2019
Don't you know the injury code? 3 weeks means 4-6 4-6 means we don't know but have to tell the fans something. The only truthful one is out for the season.

Opposition Watch: Rd 4 vs Sydney
Why picket? the same number will go to the ground and the same number will watch on TV no matter what the ground condition. That is what fills their coffers. If one game over the weekend looks poor or a player suffers a long term injury then too bad. Does not matter in the overall scheme of things.

Opposition Watch: Rd 4 vs Sydney
First round vs Port. They had about five top liners out! We know how that ended. WE have too many injuries, a suspect game plan under 666 and too many players with lost form. On a ground where we almost never win that is in bad shape, imagine how we will slip and slide. Think 2020 when we have a chance at the SCG.

Changes vs Swans R4
Yep RN the fact is it will not improve much over the next month. I think I need a new bottle of single malt.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
If you believe half the stuff talked about with May joining us then it would seem it was less than an ideal start. He is clearly injured and he will be out for some weeks. My experience at watching such things suggests to me that he will not be 100% till much later in the season if at all this year. We know he can play and for me I don't think we will see the best from him till 2020, Sad but that is the way of the world. A similar situation exists with Tmac he has clearly not recovered from his surgery over the break. IMO he will not be a 50+ goal kicking forward again till 2020.

Sam Weideman + contract
If it takes another four or five years 30% of MFC members will be in the ground me included. No loss you say and you maybe right however I would prefer him performing well soon as I would like to enjoy my last few watching years.

Sam Weideman + contract
He has played 17 games in his first three years, IMO irrespective of his age that is not a good tally for a number 9 KPF draft pick. What is clear to me is that unless we change our bomb it high into the forward line game plan he will never be successful. He is just not that sort of player. He appears to be a more lead up player and then mark a well direct kick. If we are not going to deliver the ball that way to him we might as well clear him now as he will definitely not succeed at the MFC if we continue the bomb it in method. You will not believe me but I actually feel sorry for him, whatever his talent level the MFC is crucifying him at present.

ROUND 4 2006 - Melbourne v Sydney at the SCG
That was the high spot last week bb. By Saturday morning I was into all things non football.

The big difference Mr Shadow is May and TMac have proved they can preform at a high level over a number of years. May will get healthy and have a good 2020. Tmac's form will come good. It too maybe in 2020. We can forget this year for a variety of reasons not the least being long term injuries. My mind has switched to next year, 2019 is now a sorting out year. The FD will realise at some point this year that the 2018 plan is now history and it will be changed to take into account the 666 changes and hopefully we will recruit with it in mind. I feel confident about 2020.
