I hope that over the next few years we gain a number of young people to replace old pr.ks like me who’s days are numbered.

I seriously did this and only had one comment though a few looked strangely at me. The comment came from an Asian lady of middle age who said to “ I assume your team won” then we both laughed.

Still think the big improvement came from the new assistants. But he is the head coach and he did what no one else has done in 57 years.

I mentioned Casey in my comment All the comment about how far away it was etc. Players hated going there. Can't have been too bad. If the changes to Goschs take place in 2022 they will be back there again. In fact if our grandiose plans for Goschs happen we could be at Casey a lot in the next few years. But players won't want to come to the MFC if we are out there. Crap.

Well after all the negatives that have been written about Goschs and having to train at Casey we won the premiership without a grandiose training facility. Now I am not saying for one second we don't need better but it is the players that make the difference not where you train IMO.

I started following the Red Legs in 1960. Went with my dad. We would come down from the country a few times during year and to finals if we could get tickets. I went to 60 GF and 64 GF in standing room. After the GF in 64 I thought on the way home how good is following Melb. This will go on forever. Ha little did I know. I was thinking of Dad all Saturday. He lived his football. We followed the Hawks in the BFL. I often thought in the 57 years since if he had followed the Hawks in the VFL how much fun I would have had. Well Dad they finally did it for us. The Hawks can expect to be on the end of some big losses to the mighty Demons in the years ahead.

Yes I had a bit of that, I never sang the song. My wife said what's wrong ? I said nothing just feels unreal. Strange.
