  1. where are you going to find 20 players any better than the ones you just flung. One of the big problems with having 18 teams is the talent pool is streched too thin.
  2. The bed next to me is vacant DC but I have to type under the blankets when we get past lights out at 8.00 PM. There is a distinct lake of oxygen under here, I think it is starting to affect my thought process but may be that is the tablets they insist I swallow. Please hurry DC it is lonely in here almost as lonely as the MFC after match player get togethers
  3. I agree Nasher can you combine this with one of the other 10 threads on the same subject.
  4. You are correct RobbieF But I have a horrible feeling it won't change much if we drop them for the next month. Now I am not saying leave them in the team but those we put in will be kids who will struggle. But at least they might give it a red hot go. Who knows they might pull off a surprise because continuing with the senior players of the last 8 weeks will just continue the crap we have watched for more than 2 months
  5. I don't think you have to worry nutbean, even if all the Dees supporters booed on Sunday their will not be enough there to be heard above the Carlton laughter. Sad but there will not be many Dees supporters there
  6. I think that the all the major problems started with the sacking of Junior at the end of 2010. After very loyal service he was pushed out when as it turns out he had still plenty to offer. A number of the senior players thought if they can do that to Junior what can happen to me? almost imediately after we saw the fracture with Cam Bruce. Both these guys were long term loyal players who had given everything to the MFC. IMO it all stems from there, who was behind all that I do not know But for me the club has not been the same since that day at the end of the 2010 season.
  7. Because the MFC was the only offer? I bet right now he wishes he was still an assistant at the Pies
  8. FWIW I agree with you DC The big problem that I see DC is who would want either of their jobs? I do not see too many putting up their hands for DMc's job And how are we going to entice anyone that is very good to the GM position. Anyone of the type we want is going to run a mile in the opposite direction.
  9. I could not agree more P_man IMO the members of the MFC have way too often had blind faith and what has it achieved over the last 48 years 2 GF appearances for nil wins. i.e. one appearance every 24 years. Over the last 4.5 seasons we have had finished Last, Last, 12, 12, and this year at best third last but probably last. I am over "blind Faith"
  10. P13 Please do not hold your breath because you probably won't see no. 13
  11. Holiday in Europe! Wish I could join you RobbieF
  12. I am way more that "a tiny bit" I am not trying to be smart Rogue what would make you "very apathetic" ?
  13. Please RR vitriol proves nothing other than to demean the person who uses it.
  14. How could he be worse than the ones he replaces. Why on earth did we recruit him if we do not want to play him. Now is the time
  15. Love to know what was said off camera
  16. You are correct Rogue. My view is the members of the MFC have been far too compliant for far too long. If there is not some evidence of improvement / action over the next two months the membership should be calling for heads to roll. Eventually the buck stops at the top.
  17. Please no HG Hang in there no football club is worth that
  18. You mean there are more than 5 of us left wyl!
  19. Not very clever am I jumbo you picked it up straight away But then again I do support the Dees That probably explains a lot
  20. Damn you are right I thought I had a good idea for about 6 minutes
  21. Versus what is happening now?
  22. Sorry Oucher There are half a dozen We would not miss. Could we get them to defect to Rugby League?
  23. I resent being called Harry DC Jokes aside I thing you could well be correct. I hope that things are being done as I type. As always time will tell But I am way past platitudes
