A relocated team has been reported to the best option favoured by the AFL. The only logical suspects are North and Saints. It’s a backward move to dilute the talent pool with another new club but would be a positive move to dilute the excess of Victorian suburban clubs for a more inclusive and balanced national competition. It is interesting to note that previous relocated clubs like Sydney and Brisbane still have strong support in their former homes. A relocated club also will have solid support in their new home as there are no other codes to compete against and Tasmania is a football grass roots state.
