  1. The next Hawthorn assistant in line for promotion will do for them.
  2. With our soft culture I doubt he would have done anything much if he came to us.
  3. As I said before, everyone in the coaches box was devastated by how the game turned out. Far worse than the usual schelacking. This was supposed to be Roos celebration farewell send off. It will cost us memberships and a better fixture. It has rolled back much of the improvement this season. I do not buy this pathetic tiredness excuse. Professional teams do not play tired. They may tire during the game. I would have not been so upset if we played well, tired and lost by a regulation 5-6 goals as is usually the case. There was no passion, commitment or effort from the beginning. Absolutely disgusting and putrid effort. I hope the players enjoy mad Monday and their trip to Vegas or Bali and the GF when they return.
  4. And likely lost a couple of Friday night games that will now go to the druggies.
  5. It is not a perception but a reality we share with Richmond.
  6. Over the past three seasons, I thought we should have won 2 to 3 more games than we did per season. Early season good progress sabotaged by late season inertia and lack of focus playing peer clubs. These guys are supposed to be professionals and should be able to finish off a season. The problem is not their bodies but a feeble mind set.
  7. Didn't he do the tunnel ball against Hawthorn? They must have seen something they liked. I was surprised by the way he made that goal. Standing flat footed and facing away from the goal whe he received the ball he charged away like Dangerfield. No one could have caught him.
  8. Since when did gutter journalism tell the truth? Unless we get rid of the softcoque mentality we will become the new Richmond.
  9. He will replace Ceglar for the rest of the season. His mobility and versatility will keep him in the 2nd ruck role.
  10. From THE AGE this morning. OK put up your dukes! "It's hard to think of a starker contrast between a few games which weren't supposed to mean anything than we witnessed over the weekend. At the MCG on Saturday, Essendon made a mockery of naive suggestions they would be better served losing to Carlton and ensuring the No.1 draft pick with their most spirited performance of the season. The post-game scenes were no less significant, the Bombers not only giving fitting farewells to the top-up players who'd helped out this season, but gathering in front of their fans at the Punt Road end to thank them for sticking by the club these past four nightmarish years. But while Essendon were giving it everything, down the highway at Geelong, Melbourne, now without a top eight spot to play for, were effectively waving the white flag, sending off Paul Roos with the heaviest defeat of his 268-game coaching career. ---// snip/: Two weekends ago, Melbourne were playing for a potential finals spot, Demon fans with more hope in the hearts than they'd had for a decade. Instead, they'll go into a six-month hibernation once again wondering just how much has changed. Richmond supporters were already at a low ebb. The complete lack of competitiveness of their team in their final chance to show something was without doubt the final rubbing of their collective noses in the you-know-what. That's not to suggest either the Melbourne or Richmond players weren't hurting after their humiliations. There's every chance they'll recover a fair bit quicker, though. An eight-week holiday looms. Overseas trips. And when they return to their club, the slate will have been wiped clean, the embarrassment forgotten as they throw themselves into the business of preparing for 2017.
  11. The Cats get a huge advantage over the rest of the Vic clubs throughout the regular season at their hole. Tough luck.
  12. Good luck to Fitzy. Deserves a break. Now best remembered for something else other than his tunnelball moment.
  13. It does not appear he is trying to change things for the better.
  14. Watching the replay the TV cameras were constantly crossing over to our coaches box in the last half of the game. Never seen Roos as well as the rest of the coaches so disapointed ever. It must have really hurt.
  15. If its going to happen it will be soon.
  16. Likely better off going by the great wins and functioning forward line we have had with him missing
  17. Is it possible to have two 186 moments in the one day?
  18. A sour taste for a very long time.
  19. He is supposed to be an offensive player and not a tagger. Besides from that his disposal is usually C grade.
  20. Not to mention memberships, prime draw and TV spots and trade leverage.
  21. And beat us twice this season as well as everytime for the past ten years.
  22. You suggest the players are embarrassed? I reckon they just don't care.
  23. Even the commentators are alluding to 186. Hmmmmmm.... please wake up players.
  24. More interested in how we approach this game rather than the result. A spirited effort to give some positive thoughts over the long off season.
  25. Are you sure? http://www.afl.com.au/news/2016-03-16/poor-kicking-for-goal-was-just-a-bit-of-an-off-day-for-melbournes-jesse-hogan
