  1. I think the poll alludes to that big offers may have been made. Most likely from WA and also perhaps a Vic club like hypothetically Collingwood. And Hogan's non commitment under pressure and recent average form just adds to the speculation. Rumours that die quickly are usually wrong. Those that never go away are more likely to be true.
  2. I took a 2 month break from here at half time of the Bulldogs game late last season when they murdered us. The frustration of us not turning up in the second half of the season 2 years in a row got to me. This year I was rapt with our late season form until the last couple of rounds.
  3. The media seem to take a huge interest in Hogan. Everything seems bigger than what it is. On SEN radio there is a poll today titled "Has Jess Hogan's value gone down this season?" Last I heard it was 59% yes.
  4. My opinion of him was heavily influenced by the OX incident. I thought it bad form that he needed to have a press conference for that. And his goal kicking has gotten worse. Been acting like an arrogant superstar prematurely.
  5. I was once wrongly suspected of being YM because by co-incidence I had joined DL on the very same day he got banned permanently. Back to rpfc. At this stage no one can shed any info and that he cannot be contacted is a worry. His posting output started declining about a year to 18 months ago but was still a regular.
  6. Before rampant interchange, if a player needed a rest, usually a ruckman or midfielder they went to the forward pocket for a break. That also applied to players that may have taken a knock and needed to catch their breath back. Since they needed to be manned up that reduced the congestion elsewhere and ensured there will be no vacant goal front.
  7. Anyone knows what's happened to rpfc? Disappeared and hasn't visited here since July 3. Old sparring partner of mine. Has been quieter of recent but has a formidable body of work of over 17,000 posts. I hope he is alright.
  8. Even poorer consisting our excellent run with injuries this season. Finals sides are gearing up to peak. We wave the white flag.
  9. Agree. Phase out interchange. Have a few reserves. If a player has an injury that needs attending he may be replaced temporarily but has to stay off the park for 20 min minimum.
  10. Great talent no doubt but no superstar yet. Even spud Membery has had a better season without all the hoopla.
  11. That was round 7 and early in his career and we only got the Hawthorn monkey off our back that's been there for a decade this year. Anyway my argument can be measured next season.
  12. I think it is a valid argument. Despite the small sample size our forward line has not functioned with the same fluidity and efficiency against quality opposition since our big win over the swans back in the Bailey days. And we have to go back to 2006 for similar offensive elan. Not just the fact that we won. Those two games stand out like goat glands of the Roos era.
  13. Are you the poster who logged up over 2000 posts insisting Scully will stay with us?
  14. It was a win win for both clubs. GWS improved and got a good experienced player and Geelong also improved and eased the pressure of their aging list.
  15. So true. Only Oliver seems to have quickness of mind and the skills to distribute the ball effectively. And he is still learning.
  16. Would have been handy if they cranked up their leadership last couple of rounds and against sure flogs like Essendon.
  17. Good ball skills but small willy.
  18. Very even race. There were 3 or four worthy candidates that could have won. Congratulations to Jack.
  19. Can't help thinking he may have held us back this year.
  20. The evidence suggests that may not be the case.
  21. I bet if it was a Richmond player, Caro would be first in with the broom.
  22. How about first round picks this and next season?
