I remember when Alan Jeans was appointed coach and everyone bar none were unanimous it was the beginning of the end of the Hawks after the successful Kennedy era. That was about 40 years ago. Unlike us they make a regular habit of a Phoenix like rising from the ashes.

Subiaco is significantly narrower than the MCG or most typical AFL grounds. Like about 18-20 metres. But it is much longer. Only other comparable ground is Skilled Stadium.

JLT Round 4, Thursday 9th March - West Coast at Subiaco
John Crow Batty replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
The quickness of WC was likely a reason Trengove was kept on the bench. -

WC working a lot harder. Forward line disfunctional. Can't see much difference to what we dish up in the last couple of seasons. -
The "Viney can't kick" stigma...fair or unfair?
John Crow Batty replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would like to see Viney try to move the ball out a lot quicker at stoppages. While it looks good seeing him barge through packs less holding of the ball is better than too much. Should be more like Sam Mitchell or Oliver. He and Jones just want to do it all in packs where more often than not the ball goes nowhere when they take first possession. Less than perfect foot disposal would not be an issue if he became a slicker and efficient inside ball user. It's not of how much of the ball an inside player gets its more about what they do with it. -

How many did not make the distance from inside 50 or out of bounds? -

VIney's goal kicking makes Hogan not look so lonely in that regard. Both strong and talented footballers who shyte themselves in front of goal. -
All predictions from today's HS footy mag

I could be wrong but I believe Lloyd was a Dees supporter when a kid. -
Melbourne 2017 ladder prediction
John Crow Batty replied to Delusional demon 82's topic in Melbourne Demons
That says it all. Eradication of the soft underbelly will see us in the eight. Repeat efforts like against Essendon, Carlton and St Kilda could see us worse off. -
Toughest midfield in the AFL - David King
John Crow Batty replied to Bobby Clark's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can six hard nut midfielders be turned into a hard nut midfield? The jury is still out but I hope so. -
Toughest midfield in the AFL - David King

If we have are the toughest midfield we haven't seen it yet. Same shyte we were hearing in 2010 from the media. I want to see results. The recent demolition job Cripps and Gibbs did to us reminds us of how pathetic we can be.- 68 replies

The Should Jack Watts Play Round 1 Poll
John Crow Batty replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Watts may need to take a sickie. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/melbourne-demons-jack-watts-forced-to-leave-training-early-due-to-illness-20170228-gun52o.html -
Don't worry I am. What would you know about principles anyway? I have already paid up and can't get my money back so at $13 or so a game I will watch the Demon games I don't attend or are on channel 7. Once the season is over subscription cancelled permanently.

Sorry I don't agree with that. We were publicaly told we were to get a better and improved service which it clearly is not. That is where the bulk of the trickery and chicanery is mostly at. There is no way I will go back to Foxtel. I will only use the app to watch Melbourne games when there is no other access which is about 6 to 8 games a season. I made it a habit of watching quite a few neutral games throughout the season. Now I will be happy to find better things to do.

Looks like he fresh back from a stint working on the Burma Railroad.

I don't know what's happening with Watt's but I am familiar with the post generous contract blues too many of our players suffer from. I just hope he builds on last season stellar form but if he backslides I won't be surprised.

The Achilles Heel for all interstate sides is playing the GF at the MCG unless playing another interstate side for the flag. I hope the AFL don't start giving them too many regular season games there.
-
Principles, trust and moral ethics don't appear to carry much weight with you. I hope you're not one of those suits that make big bucks with trickery and chicanery from average Joe's.

I thought this thread was about eating the bird that's been a regular part of our diet.

AS Donald Trump says; "Fake news...Fake news!"

I have been using the app for 4 years. We we told the new app will be better than the old. Changes were added to the terms and conditions without informing existing users who mostly roll over automatically. The new 7 inch display is also of low resolution and only fit for phones. Looks terrible and almost unwatchable on my iPads. We were cheated.

White maggots VS No1 & No 2 jobbies. Where is the crowd? Hardly anyone there.
-
This is the the AFL promotion of the new app and the promise of its wonderful features to come. No mention of the teeny 7inch screen. The subscribers have been duped and mushroom farmed. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-02-10/fans-stream-26m-minutes-of-live-aflw-action

Looking at the tiny broadcast it appeared like they reduced the definition too. Trying to make the image larger if possible will look terrible. There is no way I will subscribe to Foxtel thieves to get a better service. I will just use my reading glasses to watch and maybe unsubscribe next season. I can't see the point of dumbing down the channel 7 games also They are free to air and it doesn't matter what device the game is watched on. The ads are still shown.
