Melksham - the forgotten man

Seriously we have not had goodwins like this since Daniher days when he was in prime health.
-
Won't take this win too lightly. The dogs were bugged.
-
Bugg has mugged the Bulldogs.
-
The Bulldogs will be a hard slog. But there will be significat rewards on offer. We seriously are in top four contention.
-
Nothing beats a final 4 spot and now we are in the hunt. Bugger 5-8.

Time to show Oscar some respect!

As I recall Rance also copped a lot of criticism early in his career. -
Hunts blistering run and carry prior to a long kick is a potent weapon because the defences become disorganised back tracking to adjust. Makes it harder for the spare defender to get into intercept position. As long as he gets the ball to a contest it's a win.

50% of voters are selling us short. There is no reason to lack optimism this season.

Pies fans want out of QB Big freeze match
John Crow Batty replied to pineapple dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
The AFL has always wanted a strong club to identify with the city of Melbourne for the national competition and downplay the surburban parochialism. If we become great it will pump up the us vs the rest of them scenario and the benefits will flow. Problem is we have under performed for decades and yes we do need sustained success to become great again. -

If we continue to improve we get more marquee games as well. One day it will be Collingwood scraping to play us on QB. No need to concede anything. -

OK, we play someone else on QB. They can have Sunday arvo 4.45pm. -
I was impressed how we played out the last two minutes. Always felt like we were going to win. Collingwood threw everything at us and were ferocious. Great to see Watts on the goal line to save a goal straight after kicking the winner. A few weeks ago that goal square would have been vacant. Also having Lewis there gives us so much more of a clued up and structured defence when desperation pressure is on. Quote Edit Options

I think we are a better side with Lewis in the side even when he plays a stinker.
-
We toughed out a great win today but next week we play the writers of the tough win playbook. Huge, huge game.
-
Finally played a hard fought game to the finish and won. YEeeeaaauuuuh!!!!!
-
We beat Adelaide so that excuses everything.
-
Some of the players enjoyed the week off too much.
-
They want the ball more. How predictable.
-
Bit concerned myself with no ruck. What was once forced upon us is now a gamble.
-
This will be our biggest test of mental maturity or lack of. We concede the initiative far too often to teams that come to play. And Collingwood will come to play today. Its got to be done right today even if it goes down to the last kick of the game.

Is Ling a commentator or special comments?
John Crow Batty replied to TGR's topic in Melbourne Demons
What has been annoying me is how he's been going on the past fortnight about how Geelong have the right know how and template to beat the Crows. Does not mention that we beat them on their own turf and also neglects to mention that beating them with their own huge home dung hole advantage may be a factor. -
I am puzzled why those Adams comments gets supporters carnal juices flowing and think it will fire us up. Implies the players need something extra to give a 100%. Are not 4pp's and possible jump to sixth place on the ladder enough motivation? I am sick of the so called need for all these external motivaton excuses, blah! Happens ever year on QB before we promptly fall off the perch for the remainder of the season.

Luckily they didn't jumper punch him.
