Month without whingeing on DL
We have more to whinge about in the past month than the entire last season. When the positives reappear the whingering will go.

Viney to miss a couple of weeks.
He has been NQR all season. It will be like for like. Ordinary player replacing ordinary player.

Sam Weideman + contract
It’s starting to look like we replaced Chris Dawes with Chris Dawes.

What to do with Nathan Jones
Hard to see Jones still being around if playing for one of the more successful clubs. Clarkson would have tapped him on the shoulder years ago. He has been the beneficiary of the botched exit of Junior Mac who still was a relavent contributor. He won’t go until he feels like it. It is damning he can’t see his time is up. Last season we could hide him because the side played really well. This season there is no where to hide him anymore. It is cringeworthy watching him plodding along and butchering the ball on a regular basis.

Round 6 Non MFC games
Maggots umpiring both their most favoured clubs. Made them confused and making horrible decisions for both sides.

POST GAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Viney, Jones and Lewis. Only one of the three should be playing. Viney and Jones are untouchables as captains. Lewis is the only one that offers a skerrick of leadership and better ball use but slow and exposed at times. Two of these have to be dropped. Viney and Jones are momentum killers and aside from burying their heads in packs offer nothing.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Drop Jones. The embodiment to why we are so bad at the moment. He was well and truly finished last season. Playing favourites who can’t cut it any more.

Changes vs Richmond
I worked with Lou at the Herald Sun when I was young. He would have been about 163 to 165cm. Solidly built though. More like a Caleb Daniel type for a modern comparison. In his days players in all roles were significantly shorter. John Nicholls the leading ruckman of the 1960’s was about 185cm and built like a brick outhouse.

Just hope we haven’t got stuck with a lemon, turkey or whatever.

Post Game: Rd 5 v St. Kilda
The pinnacle of achievement was beating the Hawks in a final. Never mind the prelim, it was all dunking deep in the bathwater since.

I didn’t read all of it.

I got the email. All it said was blah, blah, blah.

2020 starts now ?
I predict we will get going next game and surge home almost undefeated for the remainder of the season and wipe out all the opposition in the finals. Now time to sober up.

Post Game: Rd 5 v St. Kilda
Agree, Viney is a huge momentum killer when has the ball. Same as for Jones when in the guts. Being tough inside players means getting it out quick but they never do. Only Oliver is a good fast distributor but he was the third worst disposal efficiency on the field yesterday despite his high numbers.

Post Game: Rd 5 v St. Kilda
Very disappointed in our leaders again today. Viney tried hard but spends most of the time hatching the ball on the ground. Never does anything useful with it. Zero impact. Jones back to his pre cameo playing. Slow, fumbly and error prone. He is a huge liability and generally a non entity on the ground. Needs to be retired or needs to get a blighty to get him off the park for a long time. Lewis MIA, slow and creaky. Gawn, best useless tap out ruckman in the game. The others, who the farrrk are they?

A regular media rocket up the khyber is de rigueur to ensure we don’t go the bathtub too often. She’s just reminding us and I hope the players take note. Far more appropriate than the treacle the media has been smothering us pre season.
