Just listening to the pre game on Fox. King told the story of his coaching days at Carey when Jack Viney was there. He said they had to take Jack out of some games because he was too tough for the other kids !! Under 18's apparently !!!!

Well I must say deever, I expected a somewhat more woke response from you than, "more bacon" ! More disappointing though is the unpatriotic nature of your attack on the humble beetroot ! Now my reasoning for this charge is difficult to explain on this forum as the immoderators and myself have frequently differed in view as to what constitutes appropriate content. However, I once read a learned article ,wherein the author argued that the beetroot should be awarded the honour of being named Australia's national vegetable. Let me just say that his arguments were all to be found in the name.

Winning two games in Adelaide in 5 days will be an enormous fillip to our season. The Crows will be trying to regain some pride and credibility in front of their home crowd, so expect early fireworks. But..... after a tight first half we will stone the Crows by 3 or 4 goals! We've won two against no one special . Today ( and next week )will give us a real clue as to where we stand this season. Are we any good? [censored] yes we are ! Dees by 27 ! This will include a blinder from Jack Viney and four goals from Kozzie. The Manorial staff all have rather fetching red and blue Bunny outfits for tonight's celebratory after party.

Viney is a genuine tough footballer. He is no sniper, nor is he a choose your moment hard man. He plays the same way all game, every game - see ball , get ball regardless of who is in the way. He provides team lifting , match winning moments by example. Every team needs a Jack Viney. Thankfully he is a red and blue blood.

We did what we had to when required, in the face of a scruffy opposition and hot and cold umpiring. Trac, however, was consistently a class above. A win is a win is a win and a strong finish is what good teams do. PS I think the Fox commentators may have given Hawthorn the 4 points !
