This is ridiculous/funny for what some people are saying. We've seen this exact situation in the cricket this summer and I don't know why it always happens to the stars of the game but who's to know. Perfect example is Ricky Ponting couldn't buy a run in a meaningless test series against NZ everyone writes him off as dead but as soon as he comes good when we really need him he is everyone's best mate. It was Jacks first run and not every horse likes being first up after a spell, so give him 4 or 5 weeks and I bet all of you will be back explaining how you'd never written him off. Really good is a term used for players who excel in a game. Matthew had good attack on the ball on Saturday but that's where the compliments end. He pulled countless U-turns which add an AFL no-no, and not to mention has not changed his mentality one bit in decision making. Just missing targets in those conditions is acceptable but 3 out of the fulls ignoring the new rule and another 2 due to the rule was appalling. He has a good chance for Round 1 due to his off-season but last night did not help his chances.

Currently watching FOX FOOTY classic game of Melbourne Brisbane Round 3 2011. One Mitch Clark is playing CHF start of the 4th quarter with 23 touches 10 marks 9 inside 50 and 4 or 5 scoring assists. Honestly I was under somewhat of an impression he was far better in the ruck but he has done literally everything I hope for this year. Breaking packs, bringing the ball to the ground and even more so being a presence. Watching this really makes me feel like this yea could be fun!!

I'll personally be gutted with 2 losses tomorrow night. I don't expect 110% noone does it in the NAB Cup but the beauty of having a first year coach is that first impressions last and NAB or not he'll want a strong first impression. The only, only small thing that has me worried in this is that Moloney may be gutted in regards to the leadership position and feel he no longer belongs. To go from someone who the media thought was our best bet for captain to not even being in the player voted top 8 leaders at the club I could imagine would be humiliating although I'm 99% sure it will not worry Brent, who has always characterised himself as not requiring a tag because he leads regardless. Just food for thought.

Does that not prove maybe it wasn't just a few minutes late... Regardless if you had a very important meeting you should be planning to be their 15 minutes early and remove chances like this. Think Sam may have been substantially late if you look at game and fine so I think it's a perfect punishment for the crime

Jordie I highly doubt that. You would have to be extremely stupid to allow that to happen if you were WC. If Gaff gives a clear indication he wanted to head home WC will have to pull the trigger just like Brisbane had to with Clark and Adelaide with Gunston. Smoke and mirrors can scare the potential suitors all they want by saying we'll let him go in the PSD but a football department that let a pick 4 leave after 2 years for free is absolutely brainless. If he wants to leave, it won't take 2 first round picks. It'll just take smart negotiating and a very steady hand to not pull the trigger or call their bluff.

I am speaking from a position of frustration only because I've paid for my jumper and I really wanted it..... 3 months ago. But enough on that more to the topic on hand. 5 months ago I and many other posters were the first to jump up and down re-congratulating Cameron Schwab but after the last few months it's left a question on my mind. This ground-breaking Energy Watch deal that he personally organized to all parties seemed to be his crowning moment. Fast forward 3 months- Energy Watch have (conveniently) signed on to all of the 3 Melbourne labelled teams- Rebels, Victory and Demons- which to me suggests a plan of flooding the market as opposed to expert sourcing of a deal like we were told may have been the case. I could allow this if Cam had gone to find and set-up a great deal for the FoJ sponsorship but contrary to WYL's thinking I couldn't think of anything that looks more unprofessional than having your team photo without a jumper sponsor. For a club who has fought so viciously tooth and nail to get our 'demon' back, we are finding excuses for mediocrity again. Mediocrity is the key word there and as a professional football club, the image that we are giving out especially if we run out Sunday week before our NAB Cup game with an empty jumper I simply can not justify how many $$$ you will need to match putting a price on the damage to our brand image.

I agree with the idea but the great thing about UF is the connection you have with the other competitors. With trades and everything happening during the year you begin to make somewhat of an alliance with some whilst refusing to trade with others knowing how they operate. It is this that seperates just names on a page like SC and DT and the reason why changing it each and every year may not be a good idea. I always play closer attention to the posters who I played UF with simply because I see them as good blokes. For this reason also it's why I'd set up two threads one for League JA and one for League IWAP. Theres no one and two but its simply easier to connect with your league than going through all the post because last year League 2 got lost because League 1 were all so active in the thread.

Fantastic! Like the new setup JA, the 4-4 with Score % counting as only half a stat seems fair and reasonable too. I had Riewoldt last year so him and Trav Cloke you need not fear picking haha. In regards to the opposite draft order to last year I don't think admin will have the ability to select picking order I think its all generated by computer but correct me if i'm wrong Jattack. Happy to do it that way if it works though- be an honour taking pick 18

Personally I think Sunday evening is the best. I don't finish work until 9pm every weekday and Saturday nights will rule out a few I think. If I have to miss it such is life it needs to be a date which will suit the greatest majority but my personal preference would be a Sunday night.

Seriously I know there's some personal vendettas out there and everyone can't love everyone's post but this is getting ridiculous. Personal fights are wrecking each and every thread; stuie with all due respect your comment was required on a Brent Moloney or Leadership thread and now it's turned 3 articles into a cat fight. 100% keen. After coming from last in Round 8 to winning the Premiership UF is in my opinion the best of the 3 fantasies. The trading draft etc make it exceptional fun and I spent far more time on my UF team than other leagues. Great game and can't wait to get it going this year! Hopefully we get most of the league from last year because by the end we all had worked each other out but at the same time be more than happy to see blokes like furious d step up!

Sorry about that RR had a feeling It may happen. May need to simply ask each member for their username to pair because someone has clearly put themselves in the league. I do understand some people's scores may be high enough to see them deserve to be in it but sadly it was a first come first serve basis and once we shut the entries it was unfair on people who made the effort to get me their scores early. If you're in the Stynes league can you please leave your username here because I will have to boot the non responsive members to make room for RR and anyone else who was in that league.

Okay League's and their ID's can be found on the first post of the Supercoach Thread. People have been delegated into Leagues based on the scores they have given me; and if no scores were quoted placed into first come first served basis of the next league. If people want to play in 2 leagues there are about 4 spots left in Neeld so I don't have an issue with you also signing up with that one but if you do take someones spot who isn't in any I'll simply ask you to retract yourself from the league. Hope I haven't missed anyone and let me know if I need to adjust anything to make it better.

Guys, as of AzzKika the regos have now stopped. I am not finalising people into leagues and will be sending out League codes in private messages asap. I will also require two or 3 people to be in the most inexperienced league also because the numbers are low! Nutbean yes I am taking care of that so do hold tight. Working everyday at the moment so its hard to find time but itll be done tonight!

Hird had serious serious injuries in his last year as a junior thus was not looked at by other clubs. Furthermore Essendons board had a vote at the end of the 1991 season on whether to delist him and if I remember correctly the board voted 5-2 to get rid of him. Sheedy cracked it and overrode the board to keep him. I think like Tom Brady in the NFL is just a case of one in a million.
