Not really... you are saying we may have to pay overs to keep him... but if he is someone we cannot afford to lose, then it would not really be considered paying overs if we value him that highly. I know, I know... semantics ;-)

No... all good now though... it is all working now despite the fact I didn't have to clear my cache or do anything special. Weird.

It's strange... I am on my work PC at the moment and having no problems accessing the site; it appears to be from my home MacBook Pro/PC (I'm running a dual boot system with Windows 7 in Bootcamp). It may be just a cache issue, but it is happening in both Safari on the Mac side and Firefox on the Windows side. Anyway, will check it out this evening when I get home.

Nope... still going to Crazy Domains... strange
-
Is that still operational or is it offline while updates are being made... for the past couple of hours at least all I can get is the Crazy Domains website when I try that address. I had assumed that since Tim had taken control of Demonology back into his own hands, that the newer version (dawsi03's site) had been shelved for the time being.

Just a quick post to let anyone who may not know already that the Mario Brothers have handed control of Demonology back to Tim - I think it got a little too hot in the kitchen. Already there have been many offers help to Tim get the site up and running efficiently, so it appears that the site may need to be renamed Lazarus. I know there were some who didn't have a high opinion of the site, but it would still be nice to occasionally visit and help the site gather some momentum... there is plenty of room for both Demonology and Demonland to co-exist comfortably - as became very apparent in the now locked RIP Demonology thread, many of us here are also members there. One last thing... please don't turn this topic into another slag/slug fest.

Hard to know what is really going on... this is an instragram shot of Martin's tweets concerning the whole matter: https://twitter.com/traderadio/status/379510458232754176/photo/1

Macquarie Fields? shudder!! An old girlfriend of mine was the head art teacher at Macquarie Fields high school... she was always coming home with horror stories about the kids issues growing up in completely dysfunctional families. Poor bastard!

It's been confirmed we have been talking with his manager and are waiting to hear back. Article in Real Footy.

No, you are right about Leslie Nielsen (in a straight role) and it was Robbie the robot. I have it on DVD and on Blu Ray. It's the film about a settlement on a planet where the inhabitants are being killed off by an invisible monster known as the "Id". Brilliant movie that had special effects way ahead of its time and is filmed in really glorious technicolour. It has lost none of its appeal over time.

I got it for my 11 year old son (it arrived from JB HiFi last Monday) and he has been playing it every day since. From the sounds coming out of his room, he seems to be loving it, but he did comment that he had to relearn all of the basic controls because they had changed with this version (he also has AFL 1). His also came with a small metallic blue Auskick style footy.

Not really historically related, but there is a very old sci-fi film from 1967 called "Quatermass & the Pit" (aka 5 Million Years to Earth) has a great storyline that links satanism to aliens. Loved it and have a copy of DVD. Others that have interesting links (historical or otherwise) are: - "Forbidden Planet" from 1956, which I rate as one of the all time greatest sci-fi movies made, is a reinterpretation of Shakespeare's "Tempest" - The 1979 film "Time After Time" is an interesting take that has HG Wells chasing Jack the Ripper through time (in his Time Machine of course) and into the 20th century... surprisingly well done. - "Slaughterhouse 5" which is the film from Kurt Vonnegut Jnrs novel of the same name where the main character Billie Pilgrim is "unstuck in time", concurrently living in the present day in the New York state, in the past in Dresden during the bombings of WW2 and in the future on the planet Tralfamadore; it is actually a very good interpretation of the book (unlike the attempt at another Vonnegut novel "Breakfast of Champions" that starred Bruce Willis).

Probably not, but my comment still stands IF he were to do it. (I'm just playing the role of devil's advocate).
-
Geez, I bet it's going to be a while before he lives that one down. Poor bugger probably didn't write it and was probably coerced into doing it because of his image as a thinking man's footballer. Poor bugger.

I can't wait to see what some of those commenting that we shouldn't go near him with a barge pole, will say about Roos if he were to take him on. Should be interesting :-)

Who will be worse next year? Saints or us?
hardtack replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think most of us were probably saying similar things about Port at the end of last season, and West Coast the season before that... so, I am very loathe to do make the same mistake again in underestimating yet another team "on the way out". -
Obviously Demonology is a small bickies site, but this is an interesting read nonetheless: http://www.smh.com.au/comment/twitter-is-about-to-hit-the-jackpot-and-its-all-thanks-to-your-hard-work-20130915-2tsri.html

Isn't this a topic for passing on rumours... not creating them?
-
I genuinely hope you are right!

Haven't been to Croydon for so long now... at least 5 years when I was in Kilsyth for my nephews wedding. How is the old town?
-
That thread you started has just given me the most enjoyment I have had at Demonology in a long long time. Thanks!
-
Add me, hardtack, to your list.
-
Yeah, just 20 possies in a quarter... I think we should do the Swans a favour and take him off their hands.
-
It matters not anyway... unfortunately Demonology has probably finally been completely and irrevocably ruined by this latest change. From what I have seen of Demonology and from what I have heard of the recent goings on, Tim's legacy has been treated in a very shoddy manner!

Beautiful!
